Very Disappointing Stay The only positive things I can say about my stay at the Coastal Inn Halifax were that the bed was comfortable and the staff allowed us to check in an hour early. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The room was not clean. The windows were absolutely filthy, to the point that it was one of the first things we noticed. There was no hand soap, and the shampoo bottles attached to the wall were also empty. The lotion dispenser was hanging off the wall and looked like it hadn't been maintained in a long time. The toilet did not flush properly, and the air conditioner was incredibly loud, sounding like a plane was trying to land in the room. On top of that, the room was extremely humid. It felt damp the entire stay, and even our clothes felt wet. The bed setup was strange as there was no footboard, and the mattress seemed to extend beyond the base. We woke up feeling like we were sliding off the end of the bed. The blanket was also not inside a duvet cover, which made the bedding feel unfinished and unprofessional. The website advertised a car service, but we were told they do not actually offer one. The breakfast was also very disappointing, with only toast, frozen pancakes, cereal, and apples available. Finally, with so many hotels now offering EV charging stations, it was disappointing that there were no EV chargers on site. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations, and I would not choose this hotel again. ☹️

Very helpful Staff, we had a minor issue with our room and the Staff took care of it right away and were very apologetic. Did not enjoy the pool, just because it was very crowded, but the facility was clean and well stocked.
