"Hotel was fair. It’s a beach hotel. Needs some love. Our room had a funky stale smoke and animal smell. Not overwhelming but not entirely pleasant. Bath fan made a horrible noise. Lots of rust on bathroom metal and weirdly rigged shower plumbing! Found casts. In a bed pillow the next day which made me believe the bedding hadn’t been changed..or at least that pillow case. Room fridge barely cold. Breakfast was sufficient and actually the sliced ham was a nice addition. Beach access was messy. Chairs were never straightened and just didn’t appear well taken care of. BUT, great location to shopping, dining and ferry’s. Walk to everything and didn’t have to move vehicle. Check in staff were pleasant but the person at check out needed some manners. I interrupted her eating and reading (it was very early) and she was curt and never looked at me. Was fine for our short visit but Would I recommend for a friend to stay or we stay again….doubt it."
