![Horseshoe Bay is Bowen's most iconic beach and a favourite for locals and visitors alike. The beach is framed by two granite outcrops which provide a haven for a wonderful range of fish and coral just a short swim from the beach. There is also a little resort next to the car park. « We were in a Bayview cottage. Basic inside but all needs were met for a nice beach stay. Easy 30 second walk to beach. 7-8 min drive to grocery store for supplies and town of Bowen. Property is for sale (oct2025) hopefully new owners keep it as is, very laid back and casual. »

« Un coin de paradis sur terre. Rien à redire sauf que vous pouvez réserver les yeux fermés. Une navette gratuite permet de rejoindre Airlie beach à partir de midi. Les chambres sont superbes et très propres, la literie confortable et le petit-déjeuner simple mais frais et bon. Le personnel est très souriant et nous à aider dans des démarches pour confirmer un Croisière et réserver un taxi. »
