The hotel is older and some work was getting done. The rooms are dated though the bed was incredibly comfy and all the amenities worked. Sockets near the bed and a newer heating system/electric radiators would improve the overall comfort. Nothing was too much trouble for them and with the added bonus of the sauna and hot tub, this turned into one of the best holidays we have experienced. We were able to relax and sit and watch the animals (including Tom and Jerry the goats) and birds and look out over the cliffs and sea.We were a little concerned when we booked that we were too far down South, but we needn't have worried. With great roads and connections the Voortrekker apartments are a lovely base to discover Shetland. Mogill apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything you need as well as being spotless. The robes, provided for the hot tub and sauna are a lovely touch. Location is great for exploring by car or on foot. Niki and Piet are really excellent hosts, very accommodating and great to talk to. The sauna and hot tub are fabulous too. We had such an enjoyable holiday, some highlights included getting married in Lerwick, a boat trip to Mousa and visiting the broch, exploring the Jarlshof site and walking across to St Ninians and walking around the island. 10/10!"
