The room was a good size and it was nice and clean. It was also warm and cosy. As was explained by the current owners, the room needs updating over time.
We were warmly welcomed and all the staff were hard working and friendly. The hotel is in a central position with parking. We enjoyed a home cooked evening meal and a good breakfast. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we were in the area.
Great find in the heart of Shepton, with a nice bar area, garden and breakfast. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms were also spacious and clean.
Ideally suited for my needs, near my place of work and good steady WiFi/Broadband in the room I had. Ate dinner in the bar of the hotel,. excellent and breakfast in the dinning room, excellent.
Stayed three times now
Lovely personal service
Couple of times our youngest with special needs was with us and they were excellent
Will be using them again for sure
We travelled 4 hours for a family funeral & stayed 2 nights . The wake was also held here & the staff was superb & very helpful.
We would definitely stay here again & recommend to friends & family .
It is rated 3* which is fair,Staff friendly and helpful, rooms adequate, clean and comfortably, nice little garden to sit and have something to eat and drink, good parking room.would book again if visiting this area.
We are local to the hotel and stayed here for a few nights whilst some work was done on our home. We pop in frequently for breakfast anyway as it’s excellent value and very customisable, but found the room & service to be very good as well!

Place was ok but Room Family room for 3 Adults was Small Single Bed had very soft mattress more for a child
Nice clean room with a sumptuous duvet (although I was told that room 101 was the last room to have one like that). Friendly and helpful staff. There's a Morrisons Local convenience store within 1 minute walk.
The only drawbacks were the rather mean check-out time of 10am and the lack of double glazing meaning that the odd lorry on the A361 immediately outside were occasionally disturbing for a light sleeper in the morning after about 7am.
