  • This is a new home build in late 2020 contemporary river home, river front with hot tub, firepit with plenty of wood and your own private dock great for fishing, kayaking, swimming, boating and more. Wake up to amazing views every morning. This home garage area is not part of rental. Very quiet property with no close neighbors on almost 2 acers with large front and backyard areas. This property comes with 2 kayaks and one canoe life jackets and paddles! Pets are allowed 2 pet max $100 per pet.

Would highly recommend this rental because it’s everything peaceful and beautiful. Beautiful weekend and beautiful property. The house and property was immaculate. Hot tub was at a perfect temperature.

The property was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. There was a lot of rain while we were there, so we stayed inside more than planned but the comfortable space made that a lot easier. Despite the rain, we used the hot tub, fire pit, and dock to do some fishing. We'd definitely stay here again.

The house was just as described, clean and easy to stay at. Honestly the pictures did not do justice to how enjoyable it was sitting on the front porch looking at the setting sun over the Shenandoah after a long day of hiking with the family. Gary was extremely easy to deal with and very responsive to any questions.

Amazing Property and Location

Great place in the river

The house was exactly as advertised and very clean. The river access was perfect for kayaks and paddle boards. Fishing was good, some wineries fairly close, Mr Garcia’s was fantastic Mexican food, Rudy’s Diner was also nice for any meal.

Fantastic property! We loved our stay! Beautiful home and the owner Gary has thought of everything. Great location and close to many local attractions. The river location itself is awesome. Our kids loved floating the river and fishing. Perfect yard for pets and it is kept so nice and clean. Owner does an amazing job and it shows! We will definitely be back!

Lovely getaway

This was such a beautiful property! We enjoyed the layout of the living room where the windows allowed us to take in the beauty of the river while still having privacy. If you are looking to fish, have a campfire, or enjoy the hot tub under the stars then this is a great place to do just that!

Loved the house! Perfect accommodations and air conditioning was wonderful. Did not know there was a road between the house and dock, which was tricky with little ones. But the spa tub was a hit!!!

Beautiful stay!

Our family had a great stay! We love the open family room and kitchen. Everything was clean and new. Great porch for viewing the river. One of the beds was a king not a queen as listed which was fine with us! Everything was quality and comfortable. We would recommend!

Relaxing get away

My fiancé and I had wonderful time staying here after our engagement. The house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved seeing the family of deer at night, and the wild turkey during the day. Our dog loved all the room to run around. The hot tub was clean and was a great way to relax. Gary the host was great with communicating as well. We would definitely recommend staying here again! .

Perfect for JMU graduation weekend!

We had 7 adults stay in the house. Plenty of space, beautiful views, nicely appointed. Gary quickly responded to any questions we had. Easy drive to JMU. It was exactly what we were looking for! This house was the perfect spot when we were in town for our daughter’s graduation!

Fall in Shenandoah

This property is awesome. Very modern and clean and the location is second to none. Gary, the owner, is a great host and very helpful. The home is right on the Shenandoah River and any outdoor activity is on the property of a simple drive away. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to "get away" with all the modern conveniences and comfort.

This is a must stay!

This property is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed with friends for a long weekend and it was amazing. The house is incredibly clean, had very comfortable beds and a beautiful porch to sit, relax, and watch the river. This spot on the river is perfect - it was about 4 feet deep and clear - perfect for relaxing in tubes or letting the kids wade around and play. Also, the fishing was incredible! My husband and his friend took the complimentary canoe out and caught 26 fish in 2.5 days. Anyone who is looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway near northern Virginia should book this listing immediately!
