Ridge House. Modern cabin w/ all the amenities!

  • Retreat to the Ridge House, nestled within the Ockenden Ranch subdivision in the community of Shaver Lake. A true cabin in the woods with stunning views. 3 miles to the center of Shaver Lake. Shaver Lake is the perfect place to vacation. The climate is ideal with cool summers and mild winters. The list of activities is long. Stay with us and experience all of what Shaver Lake has to offer!

    Great views from inside and outside the Ridge House. Outfitted with modern rustic decor and suited to fit the needs of the modern vacationer. The main house has three bedrooms and a loft. The master bedroom is upstairs and comes with an en-suite bathroom complete with a shower and jetted tub. For those working remotely, feel free to use the in-room desk.

    Separate from the main house, a fourth bedroom and en-suite full bathroom sits just above the detached two-car garage. This space has a queen bed and a twin trundle bed so a whole family (or group of kids) can be in one space. This room also has its own mini-fridge, built-in fireplace and TV.

    Enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine upon your arrival!

    A washer and dryer in the cabin are perfect for soggy ski clothes or beach towels. Entertainment options like flat-screen TVs mean you can cozy up with a good movie next to the fireplace! Enjoy the deck with table and chairs in the summertime, with a good cup of joe in hand (complimentary selection of coffee and hot cocoa are offered, of course).

    Towels - We DO provide clean bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.
    Toiletries - We DO provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap for each bathroom.

    The cabin is for families and friend getaways only, no parties. We are the owners, not a rental agency.

Perfect Getaway!

We had the best time on our friends & kids get away! The rooms are big enough for adults to stay in (with travel cribs), everything is clean, well stocked, and the view is beautiful. We can’t wait to come back!

Great summer getaway

Nice place with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Living room is great with high ceilings and big windows. Kitchen was well stocked. BBQ area and fire pit area were used and appreciated. Beautiful neighborhood and surroundings.

Would definitely stay again. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The beds and couches were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Jamie was very helpful answering all my questions and letting us know we could contact her anytime if we had questions.

Retreat in Shaver Lake: A gem!

Our family getaway at a VRBO rental in Shaver Lake was pure bliss. Tucked among snow-covered pines, the property offered a cozy escape after thrilling sledding adventures. The rustic charm and modern comforts made us feel right at home. The well-equipped kitchen, inviting living area, and comfortable bedrooms ensured a relaxing stay. The location was perfect, just a short drive from the sledding hills and other winter activities, allowing us to make the most of our time in this snowy paradise. Overall, our VRBO experience in Shaver Lake was magical. It provided everything we needed for an unforgettable winter getaway. We can't wait to return!

Three generations stay in Shaver

The cabin comfortably met our needs as a family getaway for spending time together and for grandchildren to ski at China Peak. The cabin is as beautiful and clean as the pictures online depict and was nestled in a quiet residence with lovely tall pine trees. It was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils to meet all our cooking needs, including a large assortment of spices and cooking tools. If you are going in winter, you might want to find out weather conditions for getting into the cabin if anyone in your party has any mobility issues. Due to snow, we could not access the driveway or garage (or EV charger). It is a steep walk down from the street, however, a path with heated mats was provided that worked for most of our party. Older members of our family needed help getting from the street on to the mats. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Ridge House was exactly as advertised: Clean, close to the town and the Lake (Shaver Lake). The fire pit worked great (nice having extra propane at the house!). Inside was very clean, plenty of coffee pods for the keurig machine. WiFi worked well.Furnishings were a bit above average, the outdoor areas and furniture were clean and comfortable.

Home was gorgeous!

Jamie Wells was a great host! Communication was great and their place was spotless. The home was minutes from the town which made day trips easy. The home is fully stocked with everything you need. I especially love the phone chargers on every bed side. Beds were comfortable, shower pressures were great. We had quite of bit of snow the day before check out, & Jamie was kind and understanding to let us stay a little past check out time to let the drive way thaw out. Any guest would be lucky to book their place. Enjoyed our stay 10/10

The home is beautiful and had everything we needed. All the amenities! We did have trouble with internet and hot water but the host made sure to help us and accommodate us. Amazing location only 5 min from town. I would go back for sure.

Beautiful well equipped cabin

The cabin was in a wonderful area of Shaver Lake. Although there had been a snow storm before we arrived, the heated walkway allowed us to enter the cabin without any problems. They supplied wood just outside the door which was very convenient. The kitchen was well stocked. We would highlly recommend it.
