Absolutely beautiful hotel in a stunning part of the city. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional.
I highly recommend Alfonso X111 and hope to return one day.
It is a very special building and location. The rooms are large and clean. Breakfast was outstanding in terms of its offer of choice.
However the mattress felt old and soft and squeaked loudly. Not what you expect in an premium hotel. When we arrived at 4pm the room wasn't ready so we were kindly offered a drink and the charming man at reception said he would bring the key to us when it was ready. He forgot and 50mins later we had to follow it up. He had forgotten our names and that he promised to bring the key. I felt this was poor and for all his charm it seemed insincere. We had travelled from Madrid where we stayed in a less expensive hotel and the service and quality of the room was far superior.
Beautiful property right downtown. A little competitive to have a drink sometimes because very popular with non-guests as well. Great staff, beautiful room. Would stay again!
No access to outdoor terrace after 800pm… this is Spain

Really really annoyed they debited my card by £254 without my knowledge just in case we had incidentals !!! Very underhand , when I questioned they removed the charge , I had already paid for room on booking
Also sone bar areas only open if eating , eg outside patio area and American bar not open until6 pm
The Alfonso XIII is a beautiful historical property located in the heart of everything! Very classy decor and extremely comfortable bedding and pillows. I slept like a baby! The food and service were excellent as was the attention by the staff.
Thé position of the hotel is perfect for the surrounding area of the Old Town. Close to bars and restaurants. A negative is that we did not feel welcome in certain areas of the hotel especially when there was a wedding going on.
The property is magnificent, the history of the hotel too. But I was truly disappointed with two things .
First, I booked for 8 nights but checked out a day earlier because we wanted to visit Granada to see the Alambra . They charge us for the night we were not there, first time ever .
Also if in one of the many tours I payed the concierge made a mistake and did not recognized her mistake and I ended up paying doble. You need to be aware of their mislead policies ahead because they are going to make sure to make you payed way more. I know next time I will not stay with them.
One of the finest hotels in all of Spain. Beautiful historic building in a perfect location. It is the staff and management however that sets this hotel apart. Everyone you encounter from the moment you arrive from the doorman, front desk staff, waiters and housekeeping you will be treated to professional and courteous true hospitality. Management is quick to respond to any issues that may arise. The beauty of this hotel and its staff are truly amazing.
Great location. The bellman and valet staff were excellent and should be rewarded. The restaurants (all of them) had minimal selection and poor value for the money (19 euros for an oxtail soup which should have been 5 euros ). All of the staff were congenial. The location and historical value of the hotel was superb. Need to get rid of the Marriott standard for five star and upgrade to world standard
Exquisite property and architecture. The staff is eager to assist. Ask for a tour of the hotel, which takes place daily upon request.
The overall experience was beautiful, memorable, and worth the price. Highly recommended. The breakfast buffet is stunning; be sure to add it to your room stay. Skip the Sunday brunch (1-4pm) if you have breakfast included. It is not substantially different than the buffet you will enjoy earlier in the day.
This is a beautiful property in a perfect location. It felt safe everywhere we went even at midnight. The interior garden courtyard is stunning and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast there each morning. We also enjoyed looking into the courtyard from the inside of the hotel and loved drinking tea, coffee and having light snacks (and the most delicious hamburger) while watching all the activity in the hotel (2 wedding with the most stylish guests). The pool was gorgeous and we always found a seat. Finally, the outdoor restaurant looks out onto the plaza and was wonderful- the views and food were excellent. Best hotel in Seville. Also, the service was impeccable!
Good location, hotel staff wasn’t very welcoming. Food service at San Fernando was okay at best.

Although it is a beautiful hotel & the service was excellent I think the management need to improve in some areas.
only one sink tap worked, both sink plugs did not work, the safe did not work etc.
while these are fairly minor, at the price we paid per night you would expect better.
