The room was spacious, comfortable, and with a gorgeous ocean view, the location convenient, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Here is one additional huge advantage. The place is fairly small, only 25 units altogether, and stretched a fair distance along the beach. The law in Cayman Islands is such that the part of the beach close to the property is private, while the outermost strip next to the water is public. So the beach chairs, umbrellas, etc., that belong to a given property must remain closer to the hotel, i.e., not on the public part of the beach. As the Colonial Club is small, its chairs and umbrellas can be placed far from one another and still in only one row along the beach. So you you won't hear what other people are talking about if you don not want to. Location is perfect, the grocery store and many restaurants are only a five minute walk.
