"La Escondida is a tastefully decorated and very cozy place with stunning views across the lake all the way to the mountains. It was originally built as a private house, which adds to the feeling of a private and very homely stay. The spa and the outdoor pool are a bliss."

I loved it so much I had booked another place but came back here instead. I found it tranquil and peaceful and the staff went above and beyond. I’ll definitely stay again! "

"The Marianas, mom, daughter ( and grandmother and grandaughter also although i didnt meet them) are lovelyand were great with arranging transport and giving recommendations. Lots of pictures of mom and others Nordic skiing and the daughter enjoys it immensely also and can arrange a guide in the winter if one wants to find the best places...very tempting! Everybody in town knows them..."

"Alta Traful wastes the opportunity it has to provide guests with an experience as unique as the lake it is situated upon. The room was basic and bathroom (tiny sized) had taps either leaking or falling of. Parking is not enforced so vehicles were parked irregularly making it difficult to park our own — I took a photo & asked reception to get the truck moved but she did nothing. I would recommend staying at the cabanas located next to it (towards the Village) coz it’s absolutely not worth the...
