Azeitão have 12 padel tennis fields, perfect for sports.
If your game is Golf, Quinta do Peru course is only at 5 km, It was voted amongst the top 5 courses in Portugal in the biennial poll organised by the European Golf magazine.
When in the mood for culture, you cannot miss Vila de Azeitão (4 km), featuring 17th and 18th century mansions, Palácio da Bacalhoa and Quinta das Torres, famous Azeitão cheese, pastry and wine cellars. The visit to the cellars of José Maria da Fonseca is unmissable, where you can taste one of the top ten Moscatels of the World. The town of Palmela (10km) is the European city of wine in 2012.
Another destination that cannot be missed is Serra da Arrábida nature reserve, with the convent on one of the most beautiful spots of Portugal, and Portinho da Arrábida (10 km), elected one of the 7 wonders of Portugal. Dolphin watching trips can be arranged and kayaks and sail boats can be hired.
Sesimbra, where half of its territory is protected area, is the ideal place for nature lovers. From Arrábida to Cabo Espichel, the green hills are in perfect harmony with the blue sea, creating singular landscapes; the perfect place for walks, fauna and flora watching, sports and even some extreme activities. The white cliffs dramatically falling into the sea offer the perfect location for climbing and rappel. The winding tracks surrounded by vegetation, which take us to these places, are irresistible for tracking and BTT.
In the city of Setúbal, at 15 km, there are the castle and plenty of churches to visit.
Cabo Espichel (15 km) delivers a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean; here you may visit the sanctuary and the lighthouse or otherwise go on a fossil and dinosaur footprint walk.
