Beautiful 5 bedroom Lake House across the street from Cayuga Lake.

••SUMMER STAYS (June-August) 3 night stay minimum. Hops, Grapes & Lakes is an updated 1890's farm house, known as the Moses Home, that sits across from Cayuga Lake. Nestled in the Finger Lakes Region, we are located near the Del Lago Casino, Outlet Mall, Wine Trails, Cheese Trail, Breweries, Historical Sites, Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, Cayuga Lake State Park with a beach and boat launch. 40 miles from Watkins Glen (Watkins Glen International) or Canandaigua (Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, 35 miles from Ithaca, NY, and an hour from either Syracuse or Rochester Airports.
It is the perfect place for a family or group getaway. 5 bedrooms- 4 with queen beds and 1 with a king bed. 1 bedroom is on the main floor while the other 4 are upstairs. Dining room with large antique expandable table to seat 12 as well as an island in kitchen with 4 barstools. Plenty of room to throw down an air mattress for the kids.
Front porch faces Cayuga Lake, perfect for drinking your morning coffee and watching the beautiful sunrise. 4 season side porch with pub table to play cards or extra space to dine.
Kitchen has everything you need for your stay. Pots, Pans, Cooking and Eating Utensils, Plates and Glasses, Keurig and regular Coffee Maker. Washer and Dryer are in utility room. We like to recycle cans, glass, and cardboard so there are bins in the utility room for you to place those items in.
There is a fire pit for your use as long as it is used responsibly. (check for any no burn ordinances due to wind or dryness). We have 10 bag chairs that may be used, wire sticks for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows. There is a gas grill available. Large octagon picnic table with umbrella in side yard near grill. Please remember to be considerate of neighbors in the later evening hours.
Front porch faces the lake with a porch swing, two rocking chairs, a bistro set and additional plastic lawn chairs. There are two adirondack chairs and a small table in the yard, to overlook the lake.
There are great restaurants in Seneca Falls, as well as in nearby quaint towns. The state park is less than a mile down the road, with a playground, small beach area, and boat launch. If you are bringing a boat, there is room to park the trailer in front of the garage. Parking spaces for 4 cars near the house, without having to shuffle them around. Additional parking in front of the garage by the street.

This was a delightful home full of charm and inspiration. The perfect place for 5 artists/writers to meet up and buckle down on getting some work done with like-minded friends.When the pilot light was out on the boiler, Susie and Steve were quick to send someone out to fix it and within a few hours, the house was toasty. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching Cayuga Lake while working. (Also loved that a guestbook from 1914 is framed in the front foyer! How cool.)The house is well-stocked with coffee, tea, games, towels, and linens and we brought the rest. Cozy, warm, the perfect atmosphere!The area is beautiful and there are plenty of restaurants in Seneca Falls to choose from (many who offer Door Dash, btw) and lots of great outdoor activities. We enjoyed some hiking and taking in the Women’s Rights Museum (sadly closed because of the current shutdown, but there was lots to read and take in even outside the building). Also enjoyed cheese tasting at the Muranda Cheese Co. with live music.

A lovely summer week

We enjoyed our stay at Susie and Steve’s charming home so much! The proximity to the state park beach, golfing, and wineries made it a PERFECT location. I was able to prepare some homemade meals for friends and family—fell in love with the pantry!—and we relaxed on the porch, played games and spent time just laughing. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms roomy and convenient. The kids are already talking about coming back next summer!

Finger Lake Friends

We have been traveling up to the Finger Lake for 20 plus years, and have stayed at a lot of beautiful places, but this home was nostalgic and so comfortable, we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms the home was within driving distance to all our favorite places. The front porch was delightful and we all enjoyed a good bit of time and fellowship on it, making great memories as well as enjoying the view of the lake through some trees. We will definitely be back!

Excellent family getaway!

Susie and Steve have an amazing house and were great hosts! Plenty of room for a family vacation. Susie was very responsive to any questions we had. House had everything we needed and more! Porch was perfect for morning coffee and hanging with the family. Quiet street with not a lot of traffic was perfect for the short walk to Cayuga Lake State Park. Highly recommend!

Large house with great front yard

It is a big, comfortable house, and our group enjoyed our stay. The kids really enjoyed running around the big front yard with a tree swing and a view of the lake. The only drawback is that the host didn't provide some of the things we've come to expect for a long weekend. Each bathroom had a single roll of toilet paper, no extra garbage bags, no soap in the showers, and no olive oil in the kitchen.

The owners were great communicators and their VRBO home allowed us to have an enjoyable family vacation. Hops, Grapes and Lakes was Spectacular!

We rented this beautiful home for a 70th birthday party for a twin sister and brother. 8 people stayed for the long weekend and 5 more joined for lunch to celebrate. Everything was perfect! The layout is such that everyone could find a place to sit and chat, share a glass of wine, or enjoy the beautiful lake view from the porch. The house is very convenient to so many interesting places to visit that are within 10-20 minutes. That, of course is only if you can tear yourselves away from the house!! Beds are comfy, furniture is too…. Bathrooms are spacious… it was just Spectacular. Thanks so much for letting us rent it! We’ll be back!
