Grand Casino Hotel and Resort

10/10 Excellent

"I have a bit of a travel confession: I really enjoy staying at casino hotels on Native lands... and not because I'm a gambler. In fact, I don't gamble at all. My theory is simple—the house usually does pretty well, and it shows. These properties are often exceptionally clean, well maintained, and continually updated. I'd rather spend my money on a great room and a good meal than try to beat the odds. This hotel was no exception. The room was comfortable, the casino floor was spotless, and the entire property felt well cared for. The rooftop swimming pool was a fantastic bonus—clean, relaxing, and a great place to unwind. The restaurants were excellent, and there was plenty to do without ever dropping a dollar into a slot machine. If you're like me and appreciate a clean, comfortable hotel with great amenities, don't overlook casino properties just because you don't gamble. This one delivered a fantastic stay, and I'd happily book here again."

"The Staff is friendly, the workout equipment works well, but the A/C in the fitness center does not work. When I arrived at the fitness center, the temp was set to COOL and it was 72 degrees. I set the thermostat to 70 and by the time I left (about 45 minutes later) the temp was 74 degrees. I guess most people want to sweat when they work out anyway so... The room A/C wasn't great either, but we travel with fans so we were able to survive. The bed was not very comfortable, but I have definitely slept on worse. The room was clean, and they have vinyl flooring which is nice, but the carpet in the hallway is really old and stained. It is just a very old hotel that is kind of worn out, but the price was right, so if you are on a budget (like we were) and you just need a decent place to crash for the night, this will do nicely. We didn't eat breakfast or get to check out the pool so I can't speak on any of that. It is a pretty convenient location, being close to fast food, gas stations and WalMart."
