Worked out perfectly for a special weekend getaway
Overall the hotel was very nice, and the view room was FANTASTIC !
I needed the perfect hotel with the perfect ambiance for entertaining an out-of-town guest. This was the start of a brief long-distance relationship, and I wanted it to all be perfect... and it was !
The views from the 30th floor room were amazing, and we were able to fall asleep and wake up each day to a view of the Sound and the Space Needle.
Plenty of options for shopping, dining, evening drinks, etc all within a short walk. VERY easy access to the Pike Place Markets and Westlake Mall.
I would DEFINITELY recommend the Crowne Plaza to anyone wanting a romantic getaway in downtown Seattle !
Because space is limited in the "improvements" section, I'll add them here:
1. I believe that room bathrooms should ALL have vent fans ! Not just for shower steam, but also because a rich meal from the previous night can ruin a romantic morning. 'Nuff said...
2. Housekeeping could be better. Used glasses were left behind after the daily cleaning, I found clothing from previous guests behind the bedside table, and there's trashed stuffed into the nooks-n-crannies of the main elevators' rails and trims pieces.
3. Staff at the Regatta Bar & Grill could have been more attentive... the tip left behind reflected how I felt about that.
4. Even though it's allegedly "comparable", I still think almost $50 /day for guest parking is too high. Half that (for guests) would be better, and would probably generate more tips.
