Nice house. Local management needs improvement.
This was a great house and a great location to Alki. It is managed by Vacasa and I feel they are lacking in their local service. The very first thing we saw when we walked in the door was pretzels on the family room floor. When we sat on the couch, another pretzel fell out of it. In addition, we came in to a dishwasher full of clean dishes. As rental property owners ourselves, we did not feel it was appropriate to have a renter check in, and be responsible for unloading the previous guests dishes. This should have been done by the cleaning service.... along with the pretzels. I messaged Vacasa about these 2 issues immediately, and i did get a reply, however there was no follow up or apology for the cleaning issues. The check out instructions were impossible to find, not posted in VRBO app and I did not want to download and create a Vacasa account just to find them. I messaged vacasa 3 times before i received them. One of the instructions was to start a load of laundry, however the washing machine would not turn on (even though it was plugged in), nor was there any laundry detergent. In summary, I think this is a great house, with some Property Management and cleaning team issues. My hope with this review, is that it will be seen by the owner so that they are aware. I know they are paying alot in property management fees. Because of these issues, we would rent a different house in Alki before renting this one again. Shame because it's a great house.

Cute and spacious house in great neighborhood.
The house was so cute and comfortable. for our family of 5.We really loved the neighborhood and walkability to the beach! The only negative was responsiveness from management. The washing machine was broken when we got there and we had to call daily about it. Ending up having to go to the laundromat. In the end they made it right, but could’ve been handled up front. On a more positive note we really enjoyed the deck right off the master bedroom, huge closet, and bath.

Great location
Overall house location was great. Beds were comfortable. Sparse on supplies though. Hardly any toilet paper left on the roll when we checked in - had to buy our own as none provided. Washing machine was full of dirty sheets and didn’t work. And dirty trash was still in the kitchen full of baby diapers when we checked in. Previous occupants food was also in the fridge.

Great Location with Problems
House is cute w trendy furnishings a block from Alki Beach. If you use coffee maker and microwave, a fuse blows (blew four times). If you flush downstairs toilet, the plunger chain gets caught in th e flapper so you have to take the lid off almost every time to fix it. And there’s a faint alarm-like sound that goes off around 5 am.

Renting of the property was easy. The property was cleaned. There were two issues I had, no toilet papers in the bathroom and the washer machine didn't work. After reporting it to the management company, I was told that they will notify maintenance team to fix it but the washer machine was never fix.

Amazing weekend trip to Seattle
Great location and quiet. Parking was right but available. The walks were gorgeous on the sound and probably would have seen whales if we stayed long enough. Thank you!

We stayed here while visiting family who live within walking distance. Great neighborhood. Space good. Charming older house but creaky floors. Nice clean appearance but could use a deep clean in corners, caulking, musty a bit, dusty a bit. Linens could have been fresher. Probably came out of storage closet after too long but the washer/dryer helped. All in all would stay again. Warning for parking…beach day users park on this street eliminating the street parking for this house. Especially if the weather is nice.

Moms 60th Birthday💜
We rented this house for my moms 60th birthday. Her mom and sisters came into town for a little ladies getaway. They arrived to a cute balloon and thoughtful card from the rental company. They had a blast taking morning walks on the beach, and walking around the town. The rental company was very easy to get ahold of with any issues. Great little house

Nice cottage I a great location!
It was very nice, comfortable, clean, except there were ants in the living room, kitchen and bathroom. We found ants on the baby’s neck. Not very relaxing to have to keep chasing the ants so they would not hurt the baby.

Fun at the beach
We spent a week relaxing and enjoying the neighborhood. A short walk to the beach made the experience all the better. My daughter could not get enough of running around in the sand. The house was clean and well kept. Thank your for the enjoyable stay!:)

We took a family trip to the PNW. 2nd stop was Seattle and this cute house in Alki Beach. It was in the perfect location. Within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. 30 minute drive to downtown Seattle, to do all the touristy things there. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great location - quiet neighborhood!
We brought our elderly mother for a visit with her sister who lives in a retirement facility. The house was very well equipped with all the essentials. The beds were comfy! We lucked out with great weather and really enjoyed the deck and bbq.

Perfect location
This house worked well for a large family get together. 2 baths is a big plus. Short walk to incredible sunset views over the water. The decor is updated and cheery. Plenty of street parking even over a holiday weekend.

Great spot but management follow-up left me unhappy
I loved the place - clean, beautiful and as described - and I had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, I forgot my pair of airpods in the bedroom, and when I got home, noticed on my find my phone app that they were in a different spot in the city. I emailed vacasa to ask for follow-up and to see if anyone had found my earbuds. I've heard nothing and felt like my concerns went into the ether.

Loved the location. Close to family, the beach, stores, etc. The checkin process wasn't as easy as it could have been. I booked thru VRBO, but the checkin info came from Vacasa. I didn't know that and completely overlooked the email from them. Had I known, the checkin would have been much easier. The property was as described. It was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 4 & 7). Loved the backyard deck with table. We ate most meals out there. The beds were all very comfortable. The cons: Some of the basic amenities were lacking. We ran out of paper towels and toilet paper a few days in. There were dishes, but we had to hand wash after lunch, in order to have enough for dinner. The dishwasher didn't work very well. The "pocket" for the detergent did not open during a cycle, so we had to re-wash several times. I finally just put the detergent pod on the bottom of the dishwasher before starting. (There were also only 2 pods and no other detergent for the week we were there. I ended up borrowinf some from my mom who lives close by.) There was not enough hand towels in the kitchen, especially after running out of paper towels. The neighbors must use the trash and recycle cans, because they were both full. We were there for 2 trash pickup days and I had to stuff our trash down over the trash that was already there. Aside from those small, but annoying issues, we really enjoyed the house. For the management: Because Covid restricts a lot of activities, it would be nice to have a selection of family board games or puzzles. But again, we would stay there again.

Not a Beach house or a vacation house
House is located at least 2 blocks from Alki Beach in suburban neighborhood. Once inside after some difficulties with lock and the general disappointment of the neighborhood, we found that the property was clean and adequate. Kitchen appliances were all new. TV was working but also subpar. This property is more a long term rental and not for short term rental - certainly way-overpriced. We paid for 10 days what it would take to rent such property for one month. We rented through VRBO which rented from Vacasa which added to difficulties in solving lock issues.

A wonderful place for our sisters weekend
Location was convenient, house was comfortable and cute, enough bedrooms for all four of us to have our own beds. A towel problem had been mentioned in previous reviews. That was taken care of prior to our arrival. We loved having the beach so nearby. Only slight downside was that the floor is really creaky, so those sleeping downstairs heard everything happening upstairs. Still very worthwhile!

Alki Beach house rental
Overall we really enjoyed the amenities and the location of this property. We enjoyed the outside deck, it was a great place to unwind with cocktails in the evening. I was however, disappointed when we realized that we were short on towels for the five of us. I contacted the property manager and it was not resolved. I was given the excuse that they were short handed and of well. I felt that they just did not care and really dropped the ball here. I am not sure if I would do this again as I went out and bought towels. I would hate to have a bigger issue and get the same response and nothing done to rectify the situation. I bet I would have gotten towels at a hotel!

cabin of paradise
it was a great cabin like home in a quiet beautiful neighborhood which felt very safe and a short 4 block walk to restaurants and the alki board walk. the free bus service 4 blocks away to get to the ferry was great just make sure you watch their operating times. /bus 775 Only suggestion for improvement would be for the cabin to have a tea pot, more face clothes, especially the black ones if you want people to use them for make up removal we only had 1 for 4 ladies... please check your gas stove front burner on right hand side, as gas seems to come out but dosent totally light up so gas smell is bad, we only used the back burners. Overall a lovely experience would certainly stay there again.

Charming rental in quiet walkable neighborhood. House is cozy and clean. Great restaurants and coffee nearby. Beach and fabulous views 5 minute walk away. Free shuttle stop for Seattle water taxi very close. Great home base for exploring the beauty of the northwest.

Loved the house and location. Easy walk to beaches and restaurants and even a nice playground.
We were a family of 6 and fit perfectly. Nice size house with plenty of amenities. Really appreciated having laundry and dishwashing materials available as well as complimentary bath items. Very nice towels and plenty of them. A fully stocked kitchen made having meals there very nice as well. Great place for a family to stay while visiting Seattle!

Great vacation house!
This a great house - bigger than it looks - in a good location. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is stocked plentifully for cooking and dining. We were lucky we had beautiful weather and the chance to enjoy the back deck. We also grilled and enjoyed drinks and dinners outside. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were adequately supplied. My only suggestion would be to provide a dehumidifier for the downstairs. We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children.

We had four adults in our party - and we were very comfortable.
We stayed three nights and did no cooking here. The cottage was very clean. We all thought the cleaning fee of $250 was very high. Since only beds needed to be change and bathrooms needed to be done after we left. Also the neighbor has a “burning” neon light on the face of his garage which offered just enough light at night. Yes, we would stay again. Very pleasant quiet neighborhood.

Alki Beach house is great!
It’s a lovely property, lots of room, nice furnishings and in good condition. No one turned on the heater before we arrived, so the inside temperature was a cold 58 degrees. I appreciated the folks at Sea and Sky bringing space heaters over to warm up the place; however, I thought the forced air heater was a bit quirky in the mornings when we tried to bring up the temp from 66 to 74. The thermostat didn’t always hold the setting, but once we got the temp up to 74 it was good for the day. When we arrived there was no dishwasher soap either. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Beautifully remodeled home in convenient location
Great home for our family of 6. Nice to have a basement for the kids - appreciated the door at the top of the stairs for extra quiet! Street parking was packed, but we always found a spot right out front. Walked to Alki for ice cream and beach time...only a 10 minute walk, even with a stroller and a kindergartener. Took the water taxi to a Mariners game which was a highlight of the trip, especially coming back at night and enjoying the gorgeous city-scape during Pride week. Cooked a big pasta dinner and found everything I needed in the kitchen. Loved the deck and fenced backyard. The only bummer was no A/C. There was a portable contraption, but it appeared broken in pieces and was stored in the walk-in closet. (Of course we picked the first 90 degree days in Seattle for our vacation!) Fans and cool evenings helped. There were not any board games, playing cards or DVD's that we could find, so bring your own entertainment. (Maybe the owners would consider adding a game cupboard?) Regardless, would definitely rent again!
