I really enjoyed my stay at the Scamander Sanctuary Park. The directions for getting there are clear and easy to follow and the grounds are meticulously maintained and well organized. My tent site was surrounded by pretty flowering vegetation and was private. The tent was spacious, nicely decorated and had everything one could need including a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle etc. The bed was very comfortable. The tents are set up on a spacious deck with nice wood deck chairs and a great wood burning stove. A short, lovely walk takes you to the beautiful Scamander beach and at night I fell asleep to the sound of the surf. This staff and owner were quick to respond to any questions and went out of their way to be helpful when I had car trouble. The location was perfect for exploring the region including the spectacular Bay of Fires and after long days of hiking, biking and swimming it was easy and felt great returning to the site. If you are glamping or camping I can't recommend this place highly enough. It is great!

We booked a glamping tent for family at Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park, which was the great experience to enjoy camping environment for the first time with all amenities provided during the stay except for hair dryer. However, the friendly and helpful holiday park management team gave us a spare one to use during our stay. I would recommend other customers to bring your own hair dryer if you really need to use it. Other than that everything is in high quality and the holiday park locates close to beach and cafes; only short drive to St. Helens (gateway to the Bay of Fires).

Nestled in amongst carefully tended native gardens, with the twittering of native birds (blue wren sightings were common), our spacious bell tent with decking, outdoor sink & wood stove was fabulously well appointed. The sanctuary has direct access to the beautiful ocean beach & is a 2 minute drive to cafes etc. The pillows & mattress were soft, there were cushions & rugs, a coffee pod machine, small fridge, a little table & chairs to eat off or play board games in our case. The amenities block is very close to the tents & clean & modern.

The pics on the website for Glamping Safari tents were very deceiving as they’re not as large inside as the Advertised Pictures show. There quite small The inside Canvas around the back of the “very low” level Back Breaking “Double” Not Queen size bed was covered in so much Mildew it was unhealthy to be in such condition and the ceiling filthy. The refrigerator is not inside it’s on the deck along with the cooker, Plus no outside light only the Fairy lights. Towels were not changed on a daily basis so we had to Ask for clean Towels. There’s many things that could be done to improve the setting on the decks such as being able to Have Pull down Vinyl blinds to avoid the rain coming in which was difficult to cook while rain was pouring against you and the bitter Cold.. Which also would help to avoid the local wildlife from climbing into the deck which pulled off the garbage lid and was eating any rubbish that was placed into the 1 plastic rubbish bag then closed with the bin lid. But the Lid needs to have clamps to keep the lid in tack to avoid the wildlife from strewing the contents of the bin around. Just simple things can be sorted for Right reasons.

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your staywe do supply clean towels on request which were suppliedThere is an outside light the switch is located on The switch panel alongside the interior light switchThe marks on the canvas are defiantly not mildew but a discolouring of the canvas The roof is not dirty but the same discolouring as the walls I must agree that the bed is low in that particular tent which we intend to heighten but is defiantly a queen mattress Never had a complaint regarding the back breaking slumberland mattress but i have found that mattresses are a personal choice either to soft or to firmIt would be impossible to keep out a hungry possum unless we completely sealed the deckWe do listen to guests suggestions to improve the glamping experiancee

Very very clean everywhere! Very nice tent. Short walk to the beach through nature. Just very cold at night - but there were heating blankets in bed as well as a heater (which was way too noisy to put on over night unfortunately). We enjoyed our stay of 2 nights a lot :)

The feeling of relax straight away, a beautiful glamping tent, arriving and sitting on the back deck with a wine and couldn’t believe the amount of wildlife it was fabulous. We were in tent 4. Definitely recommend.

This was a new experience for us which was very enjoyable. Only problem for us was the couch was very low and the bed was low. Fine for younger and more agile people. A very nice change though

we were surprised to open the door and see we had to make the bed ourselves... wasnt very inviting after a long drive. We understand they may do this so you know all fresh linen etc, and know that there are bugs ( friendly ones), but just wondering if the norm. Or some people may bring sleeping bags??? All good. We found the shower brilliant and had a comfy sleep. I can imagine with kids this would be a great experience. WE found our experience to be good and would recommend

Safari tent stay
We had a wonderful two night stay in one of Scamanda Sanctuary Holiday Park's safari tents. The tent was very clean with everything provided for a very comfy stay. Large modern bathroom with all amenities was at one end of tent with a large dining and cooking area, with fridge, outside, under cover, at other end. Queen sized bed with mosquito netting was so comfortable with doona which was perfect for a cool night. Heating/cooling with heat pump in tent which made stay comfortable on our cool nights. Couch and TV in tent as well. Windows with fly screens and canvas covers inside and out provided fresh air and light as well as privacy. We loved our stay and would highly recommend a stay here.

Clamping was so much fun, excellent value for money. Modern amenities, tv, electric blanket and fridge in your tent. We loved the deck to sit and enjoy nibbles and we were close to the beach. Bathroom was clean and spacious yet private. This was our favorite stay on our road trip

We went ‘glamping’ with our four children and we loved everything about our accommodation. As keen campers, our accommodation exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly and we experienced no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend this!
