We had a very comfortable stay at this place! We did initially have a hard time finding it, but it’s the same building as the Parkers market, which ended up being really convenient! We had a great time walking to all the shops, which was easy to do at this location! We would stay here again for sure!
We loved the place! Beautiful non-touristy neighborhood close to all the squares, (2 blocks from Forest Gump bench). Great restaurants and bars.
Easy walk to the riverfront. Bed was VERY comfortable. Would stay there again in a heartbeat
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was the perfect location, everything was just a short walk away. The market below was incredibly convenient. The property had everything we needed and was the perfect size for the two of us. 10/10 would recommend
This property was perfect for the two of us. Great location. Hosts were attentive just enough. The walls are a little thin and it did get loud sometimes. Still would recommend.
Very nice place in the heart of downtown Savannah!
We really enjoyed the apartment. Plenty of space, and all of the amenities we needed. Nice and clean. Good shower and hot water. Comfortable bed. It’s within walking distance to Collins Quarter, Broughton Street, and all of our favorite spots. Safe location, fairly quiet, and easy to navigate. Highly recommend it!
It was I nice updated apartment with all the necessary amenities. Communication with the Property Managers was very helpful. It seemed perfectly located to explore Savannah’s Historic District. Very convenient to have Parker’s Store below. Some noise at night. Thank you
My friend and I were in Savannah for a girls trip for just the weekend. We were able to walk everywhere from where this home is located: to Forsyth Park for Saturday morning farmers market and breakfast at Collins Quarters, to River Street, Broughton street for local shopping. Additionally it was clean and nicely updated. It was just enough space for two people. Would recommend to others looking for a weekend getaway in the city!
Very clean and super convenient. We parked in nearby parking garage and never had to use the car for 3 days. As other reviewers mentioned, it is loud if you’re not used to noises in the city (sirens, loud music, cars revving engines, etc.). We blocked the noise with white noise app. Management company quickly responded when we texted them through VRBO.
We loved the location of this property; a very short walk to the downtown district (furthest thing we walked to from the property was about .35 miles away). We were lucky to have amazing weather and we’re able to do all the things we wanted!
The property itself was wonderful— clean, accommodating and great communication with the management team.
The only thing folks should be aware of is there is not a stove for cooking in this unit, so everything must be leftovers or something cold!
Really enjoyed our stay. The unit was very clean and comfortable. We had a few questions regarding the TV, but the response was very quick. Be aware that parking spaces are scarce in Savannah. We were fortunate to find a spot on an adjacent street, but there is a charge to park between 8 am and 8 pm. We walked to all our destinations during our stay.
We enjoyed our stay with southern belle. I would mention that l parking was very difficult. The location was wonderful for walking to different destinations. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable but the decor was very nice. I was unaware of the room not having a full kitchen therefore I didnt get to cook. Overall I would rate the room 3/5.
The property was pretty much as described in the vrbo listing. It would be helpful to include some info about parking in downtown Savannah. Having have lived there previously was helpful.
It was a little darker indoors than I had hoped, and I did not pay attention to the size of the refrigerator(no freezer). The cooking suface is a double hotplate.
The location was great walking distance to most everything. Check-in and checkout were easy and there was sufficient communication with Southern Belle, the listing agent.
Recently my husband and I stayed in this wonderful 1 bedroom. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we could ask for. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and bright. The best part was the location!. You walked outside and just around the corner were many great restaurants, shops and a beautiful park where allegedly Forest Gump's bench was set up for the movie. I cannot confirm this but it was a beautiful little park! There is a very charming convient store just below the condo which was really nice for grabbing stuff but I will say also contributed to a bit of loud notice at night. Not a huge deal as the location was perfect! We loved Savannah!
The location was great—super convenient with metered parking right across the street. We found it much easier and faster to call management directly rather than messaging through Vrbo. A major plus was Parker’s gas station just below us—it was really handy for grabbing snacks and drinks. The peach lemonade and apple pie were especially delicious! We ended up leaving a day early due to a combination of uncomfortable issues and rainy weather. The bedroom vent didn’t provide much airflow, so we had to use the fan, while the living room stayed noticeably colder than the bedroom. The biggest concern was the presence of little brown spiders we kept seeing on the walls and floor. It made it hard to relax or sleep, as I kept worrying they’d end up in the bed.Overall, it’s a clean and charming place in a great location, but since the building is older, I’d recommend a thorough pest control treatment to address the spider issue.
Pros: Lovely place for 2 people. Very clean and nicely furnished. It had everything we needed for a short stay. Location is very convenient for walking the area. Host was very responsive. We had an issue with our entry code upon arriving and the host got back to us immediately with a new code. Binder in the unit listed restaurants which was helpful.
Cons: Biggest con of this unit is the street noise. While having the market below is very convenient it also meant a consistent stream of noisy vehicles and at times people. Our first night there was a truck parked right outside our bedroom window running a noisy generator until after 10:30pm. And many mornings there were garbage or other work trucks out there before 6am. Also, the internet speed was quite slow for streaming on the TVs or iPad with consistent lags and buffering.
