Wonderful boutique hotel with a personalized approach. Loved the breakfast on the beautiful front porch, the snack bar and the staff reaching out when we booked to assist with reservations for dinner etc.
Very large comfortable rooms, nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Located near center of downtown Saratoga, quiet, yet walkable to lots of shopping and dining options. Overall, would go again.
Only caveat is parking. There are nearby free parking options, but few are directly associated with the hotel.
The Saratoga Arms is a lovely hotel with a wonderful and attentive staff. I chose this hotel for my father-in-law's birthday, and he and my mother-in-law absolutely loved it. Especially, the modern amenities against the backdrop of Saratoga's equestrian details.
The staff is incredibly friendly and nice. From answering questions to asking if they need water or extra towels, it's clear this hotel genuinely cares about their guests and their experience.
Also, the blackout curtains in the room are amazing. My mother-in-law is a terrible sleeper, and said she had one of the most restful nights ever. I can't wait to host them there again during the racing season!

Clean great location historic nice staff. All great.
Perfect — everything gracious and comfy and everything thought of, great free snacks!! Worth the $ — lovely front porch, truly incredible breakfast — (that’s from a foodie), fun owner who’s interested in her guests and fun to talk to.
We wee celebrating a birthday. Our first time at this property and we had a nice visit. Friendly staff, excellent room, good wifi and outstanding breakfast. Many restaurants nearby and easy walk to them.Certainly glad they have great elevators.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, quaint and very clean room, and the breakfast was fantastic! We will be staying again in the future.
We are so lucky to have such An amazing historical property as a hotel. It's beautiful, clean, right in the center of all action as well!! We stay here every time we come to Saratoga and we love it!
We had a spacious, comfortable room with complimentary flat and sparkling Saratoga waters in the fridge with access to a 24 hour pantry for snacks. The room was quiet and comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning, then could stroll down Broadway before we checked out.
My husband and I were looking for a one night getaway after our wedding as a mini moon. We love Saratoga Springs and we normally stay elsewhere. We saw Saratoga Arms and wanted to try something new. Overall, the experience was just what we needed. We utilized many aspects of the hotel including the cute little gym. Breakfast was included in the package; broccoli, cheddar scrambled eggs, canadian bacon and potato hash were delicious. They provided more food than we needed and the service was speedy. We would definitely go back!
I love The Saratoga Arms. It is the only hotel I will stay at in Saratoga Springs. Everything is absolutely perfect. I love the family who owns it. They are warm and friendly hosts. Morning breakfast is superb. The rooms are spotless and spectacularly appointed. The hotel is in a beautifully restored Victorian Mansion...down to every detail. This hotel is an absolute jewel. From the moment I ring the bell it feels like coming home.
We enjoyed the central location of Saratoga Arms. It was close to everything. We spent a pleasant afternoon sitting on the porch and people watching. Another great part (among many) was the range of choices at breakfast. From simple to super fancy, there was something for everyone. This is truly a bed and breakfast (not hotel) and excels at being just that. We will be back, for sure.
Looking for charm and a non chain experience? This is the place. Quirky and fun- it was like staying in a hotel in Europe. Staff was lovely and accommodating. If my daughter goes to Skidmore will def be back!
Our stay was much too brief. We had hoped to get to Saratoga Springs in time to look around and have dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in the area. But, bad weather on our way from Boston got us in too late for anything but bed! Upon arrival, we were so pleased to find out that there were great snacks waiting for us in the self service kitchenette on the first floor, including the most amazing freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with potato chips in them! We made ourselves some lovely hot tea and relaxed in our large, beautifully decorated and very comfortable room. The made to order gourmet breakfast that was included was excellent. There to visit Skidmore College, we checked out early and left for the campus. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to get back when we had more time to enjoy it!
We needed a weekend away and choose Saratoga Arms. The hotel exceeded our high expectations. The staff and facility were great. The location allowed us to walk to everything in downtown Saratoga Springs with ease. We will definitely stay here again!
The hotel is beautiful and elegant, the rooms comfortable and updated with great amenities, the staff helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay and have already started to recommend it to friends and family.
Nice hotel completely updated with modern appliances but done in turn of the Century mode. Excellent stay. Vanilla pancakes for breakfast were the best.
We stayed here in the October during the week, so the town seemed very quiet, but the quality of the Saratoga Arms shone through. An Introduction email with details of where free parking could be found, step free access into an old colonial building. Friendly staff both at the front desk and during the great breakfast with many options. We had a very large comfy bed, and would definitely recommend this to others.
Room newly redecorated (oct. 2014) in bold blue stripes on one wall. Not for a traditionalist but pretty in its way. Two full bathrooms in room with one king bed. Windows face a house across the street. Excellent breakfast included in room rate but for amazing pastries/baked goods, go to Mrs. London's up the block. Nice in-town location.
We booked the train from NYC to Montreal and were looking for a place to stay in between. I stumbled on the Saratoga Arms and I will do it again.
Great spot right downtown not far from Congress Park and a famous underground railroad entry point. The author of Twelve Years a Slave, Solomon Northrup, was born and died a free man here. Locals were free with history lessons and interesting observations. This was obviously built as a party spot for the Yankee bluebloods after the Revolutionary War. NY society still attends the horses races here, but the section of town that was once solid brothel is considerably tamer now.
The staff was great and we walked to everything including the POst Iffice next door and ta great Italian Restaurant a block away.
Wonderful accommodations, friendly staff, great value, and proprietor involvement! We plan for all of our future visits to Saratoga Springs to include staying at Saratoga Arms.
The Hotel is exquisite. The staff is so very helpful and polite.
My room was very comfortable and unique. Every hotel room is different.
Although the Hotel does not have a dinner menu, there are a multitude of
restaurants within walking distance.
I give this hotel a 5 star rating.
A great value when visiting Saratoga Springs.,
This was my first stay at SA, but I plan to go back soon and often. The rooms are lovely: some rooms have fireplaces or Jacuzzi tubs. There is a spa on the lower level. SA in extremely clean, has comfy beds and a guest pantry with free snacks and beverages. Going back for my b'day on September
I've been to Saratoga Arms before bit is a beautiful place. Understated elegance is the term I would use to describe this hotel. It always feels like coming home. The owners are warm and friendly. The breakfast is wonderful. The beds and amenities first class I highly recommend this hotel.
