There was a 10 minute walk to the promenade and numerous restaurants but around a 30 minute walk to the opposite end. That said it was good to get the exercise.
The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Particularly Anastasia and Areti from reception. The cleaners worked hard to keep the rooms and hotel very clean. The facilities in the rooms were basic but serviceable. We brought a travel kettle as we did not think one was provided but there was a kettle in the room when we arrived. However there were no cups or drink/milk sachets provided.
The breakfast was tasty and well presented. Scrambled eggs or boiled every day, a choice of fried or poached would have been a bonus. Nuts to add to the yummy yoghurt wound have been nice. Lovely home made cakes were available everyday.
The pool was lovely and clean but the poolside flooring was peeling in places and there was a raised rusty drain cover that could be a trip hazard. Some of the outside areas were a bit tired, needing a lick of paint and the woven roofing replacing over the bar and sun beds. The bar food was really fresh and tasty, the bar staff helpful and friendly. The bar was open all evening but it lacked atmosphere and not many people made use of it. Also the bar chairs were not comfortable to sit on for long. Perhaps live music some evenings may encourage people to return to the hotel for drinks.
Overall, a lovely holiday. However, the hotel experience could be elevated with better maintenance and facilities
