Large room and a big bed - a bit hard by our standards, but we’d just come off the ferry, suffering a bit from their bunks.... Everything is spotless here! Everything you could hope for - we were there for a night only, but loads of wardrobe space and maybe 8-10 hangers. Huge, reasonably-priced tapas bar over the road, gas station next door, restaurant below, and a good-sized supermarket too. And Carrefour nearby. Bus to Santander if you’re not driving. Friendly staff -happy to speak English, but happier if you have a go in Spanglish first. We paid 46Euro and ate breakfast (bought from the supermarket) on the beach before heading off on our journey. We’ll do it again if we have ferry arriving late.

OK for an overnight stay. Efficient staff.
Reception was manned all night which was great as our ferry was delayed. Plenty of parking. Buffet breakfast OK but the room was a bit soulless. Suited us for an over night stay.

The property has parking, a private restaurant which was great and the service from the hotel at service desk was great. They also have walking distance a supermarket and gas station. It felt very secure.

Our second stay here. The room we had this time was noisy as located over the bar and overlooking car park. Even number rooms much quieter.

Good overnight hotel
Good overnight hotel - poor catering and not much in surrounding area. Good place for the night before or after a ferry crossing. You really need a car to stay at the hotel.

Great stay in a beautiful area.
The staff in the hotel were very helpful and pointed out to us places to visit in the area. Parking was good and a restaurant and bar on site. The hotel was easy to locate. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, the bathroom was a little cramped but perfectly adequate.

Well worth it!
Convenient for catching the ferry at Santander. Has a bar/restaurant within the building. Good safe parking for the bike too. Rooms were spacious and well equiped, warm and clean. Will use it again for definite. ☺

Stop off on journey home
Ferry docked too late to drive on. Hotel was easy to find on satnav. I enjoyed my night there with easy connection onto A67. I will stay here again. Had good food in the bar/cafeteria. Well satisfied.

A great situation
The hotel is in a very good position, close to beautiful beaches as well as the city of Santander. The hotel itself was everything we could ask for.

Outside appearance not particularly attractive but welcoming staff who had suggestions for places of interest for us to visit and to use no 2 bus (which runs on a loop). Also recommended the nearby Sports bar which turned out to be a great place for a drink or snack amongst local families and was very enjoyable. Plenty of parking.

Convenient to ferry
Outside was slightly disappointing but excellent inside with well fitted rooms. Very large and comfortable. Staff very helpful. We ate in sports pub about two mins walk away. Food fine and reasonable price. Overall a good price for the night and very convenient having just got off the ferry.

Although the hotel wasn't much from the outside, the room was very clean & comfortable. Everything we needed. Parking was outside in road but we could have parked in the garage. Easy to park. Breakfast was ok.

Convenient for Santander Ferry Terminal
We booked this hotel for the proximity (15mins) to Ferry terminal. There was ample parking at the hotel. It is a little isolated (there are couple of bars/restaurants within walking distance)but convenient for bus into Santander. It is however a good base for exploring surrounding towns and beaches. Staff were great.

Great hotel away from the city
We spent two nights at the hotel, and have nothing but good things to say. We arrived to Santander from San Sebastián by bus, and because this hotel is in the next town along the coast we wanted to make sure we could get to the hotel from the bus station and also from the hotel in to Santander. After an e-mail and quick response we decided to stay at La Roca. It is very easy to catch a bus in to town Our room was much bigger than an average hotel room and it looked like it was newly renovated. The staff was very friendly and gave us advice on what to see and eat in the area. We can recommend the Italian restaurant a few hundred meters past the hotel and the sports bar. We have actually booked one more night at La Roca at the end of our vacation.

Ideal stop for ferry travel, to or from.
Stayed for 1 night after getting off the ferry. Very convenient for onward travel across Spain. Great little hotel.

Jewel in the crown after ferry crossing
We first had a problem. Finding the hotel, after the satnav coordinate took us 5 kilometres. Away... Then after approaching a lady outside her house in the dark for directions.. The most incredible. Act of kindness. And truly something. That we can't thank enough.. Her husband took us all the way as we followed. In our car.. We arrived. To find a wonderful. Place to stay.. Every thing about this place is excellent.. The staff are so helpful.. If they had charged 3 times the price. It would have been. Good value.. Well done and if this couple ever read this.. Your a incredible. Tribute to the people. Of santander.. Thank you

Very helpful staff - the room I was in had recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The restaurant was less favourable.
