Hotels in Santa Maria, Timoteo from CA $41

The best time to go to Santa Maria, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is during the dry season, which runs from May to September.

During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures and significantly less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the city and its surrounding natural beauty. The weather is generally sunny, with average temperatures hovering around 20-25°C, great for outdoor activities without the oppressive humidity often found in other seasons.

For those planning to visit the nearby waterfalls or embark on hiking trails, the dry season ensures clearer paths and more enjoyable conditions. It's also a good time for cultural events and street markets, which are more pleasant to attend without the risk of heavy downpours.

While the wet season from October to April brings lush greenery, it also comes with frequent and sometimes intense rain, which can disrupt travel plans and outdoor excursions.
