We had an excellent time staying here at fern river! The only thing is the floors were a little bit dirty and the listings for (kitchens) is a little bit misleading but overall we had a wonderful time, and would definitely stay again

This is a wonderful place to stay. The property is beautiful and peaceful, right near the river, and has an outdoor badminton / volleyball court, tether ball, ping pong table, and lending library of games and books. The kitchen is stocked with basic dishes, cookware, and small appliances. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay at Fern River Resort. Tucked beneath the trees, it felt peaceful and fully immersed in nature. Our cabin was clean, cozy, and warm, we lit the fireplace in the evening and unwound after a beautiful train ride through the redwoods. Sitting by the river at dusk was one of those simple, perfect moments you wish you could stretch out a little longer. The location is ideal, just down the road from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, making it easy to explore while still feeling tucked away. A quiet, grounding place we’d absolutely return to.

The cottage was clean, cozy and absolutely perfect. I stayed in 11A and it was awesome. It had a cabin feel, and a great view of the trees and river. Loved the loft too! I'd stay here again. It was close to town but felt like it was far away in the woods. I loved the fireplace but if I could change one thing, I'd put a hot tub on the deck. A great getaway overall!

Cabin 11A was spotless and very warm. The only downside to the stay is the heater is extremely loud. It’s a loud buzz that continues for over an hour. It’s not pleasant & is hard to tune out. Almost sounds like an alarm. Not sure if staff is aware? Unless all the heaters sound like this.

The cabin was not properly cleaned, and there were no additional clean blankets or sheets provided. The dishes were also unwashed; however, the surroundings outside the cabin were pleasant and tranquil.
