It was part of an old building constructed at the beginning of the 1700s, which was part of a residential complex called "La Cocumella" that was originally a Jesuit convent. In fact the beautiful grounds of that complex border the villa, which is now a luxury hotel. The property is 500 m2 and it can accommodate up to 14 guests, with the possibility of adding two beds and accommodating a total of 16 guests. It spreads over four floors (linked by stairs and a lift) and is furnished with great taste and attention to the details. About 100 meters away there is a lift, which takes you down to the beach and some well-equipped bathing establishments, it is in an ideal position for those who prefer not to use the car during their stay. The villa has large living rooms, dining room, kitchen and larder, a game room, and wet bar. In detail the villa is composed as follows: Ground floor: with living room, dining room, and kitchen, WC with washbasin. First floor: with 2 double bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom with shower, 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub, 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with shower, living room with access to sunbathing terrace looking onto the garden. Second floor: with entrance, 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, kitchen equipped with pans, fridge and washing machine, sofa bed, sunbathing terrace equipped with garden furniture, panoramic view of the garden and the sea. Basement floor: basement with dining area, living room and corner bar, 1 WC with washbasin, 1 bathroom with shower. The lift was very handy & well used. The laundry was a great bonus. The roof terraces were stunning. The hot water and water pressure needs a major upgrade on the first and second floors.The beds were quite hard. The basement smelled damp and was very cool, only used for the shower & laundry.The front door lock needs some maintenance as was too difficult to actually lock but luckily the gates were very secure. ##### Lois P. The place was just as the pictures showed. It was absolutely wonderful. Our housekeeper Antonina was there every day to help us with any little problems we may have had. My son is a part time chef And enjoyed the kitchen facilities. The beach is just a short walk from the house and there are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. Walking into Sorrento was an easy 15 minutes. We did not want to leave and hope to go back there again. ##### Carla M.
