This is the ideal home to stay at for any family or group coming to enjoy winter sports in Sandpoint or at Schweitzer Mountain Resort for the 2025-26 season. The property is about a 10 minute drive to the mountain. Past groups that have stayed during the winter have raved how they get to enjoy the "best of both worlds" that Sandpoint has to offers during the winter. The house is walking distance from the award-winning restaurants, pubs and bars in Downtown Sandpoint which are far better than the limited offerings at Schweitzer Village which also close way too early. For those skiers looking to complement their long days on the slopes with a great hot tubbing experience, this is the place to stay. We are the only home in Sandpoint that has a Diamond Spa custom made stainless steel jacuzzi which (as you can see from the pictures) is sheltered from the elements under a fiberglass roof and can seat up to 8 people. Winter guests have described our jacuzzi as the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the slopes with beer and/or your wine in hand and stars above. The house and outdoor area by the jacuzzi has been wired for music throughout with a newly installed AV sound system that comes with XSMR and can be accessed your IOS devices as well to play your preferred playlists. Also, we have installed a brand new outdoor stainless steel gas grill and griddle adjacent to the jacuzzi, which is also depicted in the picture. So guests can now to choose to prepare their own meals inside or out. Our owners, Melissa and Brian Kramer, love managing this unique property and making sure that our guests experience is outstanding. Spot Bus services our neighborhood for Schweitzer, it picks up and drops off one block from the house if you don't want to drive or if the younger ones in your group can't wait to get up to the mountain! This very spacious house and is packed with modern amenities, and is set up for executives who need to get some work done with high speed internet to facilitate Zoom calls and a high speed printer. CHECK IN at 4:00pm and CHECK OUT at 10:00am. ENJOY ALL THE BEST SANDPOINT HAS TO OFFER IN THE WINTER. The house is ideal for groups coming to enjoy Schweitzer Mountain. Enjoy the best of both worlds as the estate is only 7.5 mile drive to Schweitzer Mountain Resort and three blocks away from downtown Sandpoint. While things shut down at the Schweitzer village at sundown, you can enjoy all the downtown shops, restaurants and bars (and, of course, the Panida Theater) late into the evening. Also, there are far more restaurants and pubs downtown to choose from than the limited options at Schweitzer Village. For the serious winter sports enthusiasts there is no better place in Sandpoint to enjoy a fantastic hot tubbing experience than in our new stainless steel Diamond Spa Jacuzzi that sits up to eight people under a covered gazebo. The pool and jacuzzi were great. Plenty of room for our family reunion of 5 families - 14 people ranging in age from 1 to 78\. The facility was top rate, the hospitality wonderful and responsive, and our time there a wonderful memory for everyone. Amazing stay and huge thank you to Brian and Melissa! We had another house booked for our group of 20 people that got flooded just days before our trip. Luckily we found Brian and Melissa house - The Newport Plums Estate and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Honestly I think it was meant to be as their house was much better. Amazing location right in Sandpoint, the place is a beautiful castle, and the hot tub is the nicest 10 person tub I have ever seen. We look forward to hopefully staying again. The house was near the lake and walking distance to downtown. The property manager Mellisa was the best property manager I’ve ever dealt with. She was available 24 hours a day. The house was perfect for family pictures also. I can’t wait to visit again in the summer to use the pool. ##### Angelique M. Brian & Melissa were the perfect hosts, always available upon request. They greeted us & showed us through the house upon arrival. The weather was at a 30 year low which caused a few challenges as to proper heating in some of the rooms. An outside pipe burst two days before departure so hot water was an issue. However, we had a wonderful time occupying ourselves in the game room, watching sports & movies on the many tvs as well as family game time. ##### E N. Our group of 9 along with our two local friends had enough room to gather, and enough room to do remote work. We much appreciated that we did not have to buy dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap, a sponge, etc. Loved the gas range, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, 2 washers and 2 dryers, 2 refrigerators, etc. One of the reasons we chose this property was the location. Even though we had multiple rental cars, we often enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops. Oh! And the hot water was always nice and hot! Never ran out even while everyone was showering, laundry was washing, etc. We would defintely stay here again! Thank you Melissa and Brian! ##### Karen A. Our large group of adults included a mix of adventurous skiers & non-skiers. The estate offered a perfect combination of high end amenities + central location with easy access to Schweitzer resort and bars/restaurants in town that everyone was happy with. It was a blast. The accommodations were wonderful and provided space for all of us to gather together as well as find some quiet spots to escape. The pool and hot tub were a huge success and provided a source of many hours of enjoyment. The pool room and parlor were great for some evening hours of music and billiards. Everyone had a wonderful time and we may have to consider a return visit in the future ##### Michael M. Great pool and great hot tub. Smoke was heavy but we made the best of it. We did a lot of activities around Sandpoint. Cooked several meals together. We were there 10 days. Jackie, the property manager, helped us out a few times when we needed something and very responsive . I gave her a list of some maintenance items that needed attention. The property is not new. The house was lovely and accommodated us perfectly. The yard was made to look great for the wedding and any problems we had were resolved immediately. Our guests brought children and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool as did we all the rest of the week. The game room was a big hit too. We closed everything down at 10pm per instructions which was nice for us too since family members spent days jet skiing, paddle boarding and kayaking. Our stay at Newport Plum Estates was so amazing! We had such an awesome stay with our sweet family & than had our very magical, romantic wedding reception by the pool! Jackie the house manager totally rocked & was the coolest, most down to earth estate manager we have ever worked with & we have stayed at many vrbo's over the years! She would immediately get back to us every time we had a question or needed to talk! Brian & Melissa the owners were very awesome too! The estate is absolutely beautiful & great for an awesome stay with family & an incredible wedding venue! There is a pool so children need to be watched very carefully for safety!
