I stayed in the xeliter Balcones for a week . I liked it very much. It is little away from the restaurant strip about 20 minutes walking and 5 minutes by car or scooter. The beach is accessible accross the property and was awesome and not crowded but very secured. There is a restaurant right in front of the property with valleyball court. We enjoyed a lot. You can coo in the apartment. Some apartments have gas grills and nice size balconies. There was no pollution. It was awesome. Rooms were clean staff was very friendly this place is very family friendly.

Overall we had a great time. We stayed here for a full week and loved the pools, the spa, the beach bed setup and the beach itself. We had the VIP wristbands but needed to be "members" to eat anywhere else on the resort which is massive. So with just the buffet, the food was very medicore. Also, nothing is explained to you about what you do or don't have access to on the property which is difficult, you have to ask a lot of questions. The beach area for VIPs had a sushi bar which was VERY good so I ate that for the most part. A big disappointment was that the whole week we were there, our shower was very cold and sometimes didn't even turn on at all. One night the power was out and we were all eating in the dark. Another minor issue was our room did not come with a TV remote and we requested one about 5 times and never got one. Besides those issues, rooms were clean and everyone working was super nice. If you stay here, walk down the beach and you'll find some guys in a shop that you can book excursions through, I recommned using them since they are local guys and will take care of you your whole trip! Great overall stay. Couple minor issues with the room, bed was rock solid and hard to sleep on and few cocroaches in the room throughout the week. Other than that great experience, will be coming back again for sure !

The staff was friendly and courteous.

This property and staff were amazing. The cleanliness really stood out to my wife and me — from the beach being raked daily to staff sweeping water off the floors in frequented areas after it rained. The staff were also phenomenal and incredibly kind. The entertainment team always made sure there were activities going on throughout the day and night. We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Dominican Republic! P.S. If you’re planning to make reservations at the on-site restaurants, be sure to book them before your stay using the Bahia Principe app. When we arrived, all of the restaurants were already fully booked. The buffet food was good, but we were really looking forward to trying one of the other restaurants on the property. There is also a great restaurant a short walk down the beach called Onno’s (Beach Club Playa Nueva Romana).
