We booked this place last minute and Jon was excellent at getting all the info we needed for parking and checkin quickly. We received a very detailed message about where to park and how it works as well as instructions on how to get in our room. We didn’t have any issues with either. The place was very nice and clean. We met Jon in the morning to get the discounted parking ticket and he was so friendly and showed us the map of the town and his favourite places to eat. Excellent service all around.

Really great stay at Buenpas. Jon was an excellent host, with great communication and helpful recommendations. Check in was a breeze and room was exactly as expected. Location was top notch - minutes from the beach and the old town. Should I ever return to San Sebastian, I hope to stay here again.

We’ve found our perfect place to stay in San Sebas
This is our 8th visit to San Sebastián and we have finally found the ideal place to stay with an ideal location for all amenities. The owner Jon and his wife are amazing and really looked after us. Very Clean, really comfortable, Netflix tv, coffee station in lobby , what more can you ask for. I would definitely recommend here and we will both be returning 🍺

Located near the old town(5-10min), the pension was clean and the staff was very helpful going out of their way to give us tips for our stay.

We loved the refreshments station, it was a great treat! We only wish the espresso machine was working. The place was also perfectly situated in a quiet neighbourhood but steps from the action. We would definitely stay again!

Worst ‘hotel’ have ever been in. Room not big enough to swing a cat, despite being very expensive. Also very stuffy and extremely loud. Hotel is located on very busy street that is impacted by buses, partygoers, and rubbish trucks at all hours of the night. Despite requesting twin beds we had to settle for a small double. Avoid rooms 1 and 2 at all cost (not only are they located above the busy street but you have to share a bathroom with strangers!) Note also San Sebastián is cold and very rainy, even in summer, so don’t go expecting sun and beach.

The place was in a great location, simple flight of stairs to walk up to get into the place. We were able to walk everywhere by foot from here. The rooms were clean and facilities were all new. You can hear the noise from the corridor but this was not a big issue and we slept through. There is coffee and tea facilities provided with some lollies / biscuits which were a big hit for us. We had a room with a balcony, A/C, private bathroom and twin beds (requested double) but we were notified on booking and chose to retain booking. These were pushed up against eachother so no issues for us either. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided us a itinerary of what to do /see for our stay with a map which was very helpful. They also let us leave our luggage and gave us access to collect later as we had a late flight. Spoke English fairly well so communication was no issue. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others.

Hotels.com didn’t have our reservation. Pension Buenpas put us up for 1 night then were full so put us in another said it was more expensive they paid but it was tiny. Poor communication as we left something behind and tried to get our new pension to ring them so we could collect it and they never got back to us. Disappointing for a great location

Excellent and thorough introduction to San Sebastián with many great recommendations. Manager always available to help with any requests. Check-in process very easy when manager wasn’t present (after hours). Close to old town and beach.

Great stay at Pension Buenpas!
Great stay at Pension Buenpas! The room was small but convenient, the shared bathroom was very clean. Jon, the owner, and his staff were extremely helpful. They suggested a lot of nice restaurants and things to do in San Sebastián and also helped us make reservations (for those who do not speak Spanish). I strongly recommend this place!

Pensión Buenpas has a great location. It’s very close to the train stations, the beach, stores, restaurants and the Old Town. Jon was very helpful and nice, even before we arrived. He gave us very useful information about how to get there, places to eat and things to do in San Sebastián. We enjoyed his recommendations and had a great time. The bedroom was very clean, spacious, completely renovated, comfortable, with much natural light and balcony. We had everything we needed and would love to stay in Pension Buenpas our next time in San Sebastián.

Super clean and cozy. We went to visit for a day, a Sunday. Almost everything in San Sebastian was closed, and it was raining. Our host saved the day and told us about local tapas spots, gave us an specific route, and pretty much planned our day. Very attentive. Excellent recommendations, friendly staff, super clean. 100% recommended!!

It was an awesome experience staying at Buenpas. Lovely room, central to most sights and amenities (we walked with our luggage from the train station on arrival and to the bus terminal on departure) and a well stocked common area for tea and coffee making. Juan and Alicia were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. They provided us with plenty of useful information and tips to make the most of our stay in San Sebastian. Highly recommended property.

Shared bathrooms and no AC in rooms
The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean but it was really uncomfortable as there was no AC and it was a hot night. We needed to leave the window open because it was hot but then it is a very noisy street at night so we had a really bad nights sleep. Also you should know that bathrooms are shared for this room.

Dear guest, When you choose your room you was informed that the bathroom for this room was shared ( only this room and another one got shared bathroom) and because of this the price is much cheaper for this room. In terms of the noise, we are really surprised, because our street is a calm street and is the first time that a guest complains in that sense. バスク鉄道で到着時は駅から歩ける距離でした。旧市街のレストランにも徒歩圏で立地はいいです。とても清潔かつ広い部屋でとても居心地がよかったです。早めの到着でしたがスタッフの対応はとてもよく、丁寧な説明やサービスで安心して滞在できました。カードキーを渡されて、夜は無人になるようです。コーヒー紅茶とリンゴバナナはフリーでいてでも取れるようになっていました。とてもいいホテルです。

Muy recomendable!
Es una pensión muy apañada muy cerca de todo. Cerca del centro, de la parte nueva y de la playa. Teníamos una habitación con baño privado, muy contentos, la verdad. Las camas muy cómodas y baño impecable. Jon (el dueño) super amable, te ayuda con todo, información de la ciudad, donde ir, donde comer, consejos, etc. además tiene un pequeño recibidor con máquina de café, hervidor de agua, infusiones... Respecto al coche: tienen un convenio con un parking cercano con lo cual sale bastante asequible (teniendo en cuenta los precios del resto de aparcamientos en San Sebastián.. ). En resumen: volveremos!!!

Experiencia estupenda. La habitación no solo está muy limpia sino que está bien decorada, que siempre resulta agradable. En pleno centro y al lado de la playa también. Además, desde Buenpas nos ayudaron a organizarnos con el parking, clases de surf y otras recomendaciones.

Super Lage: nur wenige Minuten zu lokalem Bahnhof (Euskotren) und zu Fernbahnhof und Busbahnhof; Strandnähe. Museen und Geschäfte fußläufig erreichbar. Kaffeemaschine zur freien Benutzung. Sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Aber leider zu wenig Abstellfläche für Gepäck/Kleidung u keine Trockenmöglichkeiten für Badesachen. Wäscheständer auf Balkon oder im Trockenraum wäre super.

さっぱりとしたホテル
建物の2階のフロアを使ったホテル。サンセバスチャンのホテル相場は高いようで、値段の割には小ぢんまりとしていたかも。部屋は広く、立地等はいいし、メンテナンスも十分。コーヒーもフリーサービスなので、コーヒー片手にでかけれるのもいい。やはりちょっと割高な感じはあります。
