The Space: El Nido is an exquisitely decorated 1-bedroom, 1.5-bath retreat located in a waterfront building in the heart of Condado—perfect for couples, solo travelers, or close friends looking to enjoy the best location in San Juan. While the unit itself offers charming city views, the building sits directly on the scenic Condado Lagoon and is just a short walk to Condado Beach, top restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques. Step inside and experience a thoughtfully designed space featuring a cozy bedroom, one full bathroom, an additional half bathroom off the living area, a comfortable lounge and family room, and a fully equipped modern kitchen—ideal for everything from light snacks to home-cooked meals. The interior blends style and comfort, making it well-suited for both short getaways and extended stays. Guests also have access to the pool at La Rada Condominium—a serene and refreshing spot overlooking the Condado Lagoon. With its unbeatable location and inviting atmosphere, El Nido offers the perfect home base for your San Juan adventure. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS \- Bedroom: Queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom, dedicated workstation, and large closet space. KITCHEN The kitchen at El Nido boasts sleek camel-toned cabinetry, elegant granite countertops, and modern appliances including a full-size refrigerator and freezer, oven, microwave, and coffee maker—all thoughtfully designed for both style and functionality. A central island with seating for four flows seamlessly into the open-concept living area, perfect for casual dining or morning coffee. GETTING AROUND We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general San Juan/Metro area. El Nido \*\*DOES NOT\*\* have parking. LOCATION El Nido is located in Condado, Puerto Rico. This is considered a prime location in San Juan. From El Nido, you are a 3-5-minute walk away from the sand, and within walking distance of some of the best dining options, Puerto Rico has to offer. Forget the rental car because from here you can walk or Uber to everything! The apartment is approx. 10 minutes from the airport, restaurants, parks, supermarkets, pharmacies, and shops, all within walking distance. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites: 1\. Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you stay at El Nido. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and a cooler for a long day at the beach. 2\. The waterfront area near El Nido has plenty of restaurants offering beautiful views of the ocean. You can enjoy local Puerto Rican cuisine, fresh seafood, and cocktails while watching the sunset. 3\. Condado is known for its high-end shopping and boutique stores. You can explore the nearby Condado Shopping Center for luxury brands and local stores. 4\. Condado offers a lively nightlife scene with plenty of bars, clubs, and lounges to enjoy after sunset. 5\. Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce, a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant, which offers local cuisine with a modern approach and is in La Placita. 6\. Explore Calle Loiza, which is blocks from the apartment. This up-and-coming hip street is littered with funky dining and shopping options. Start off with a margarita at Acapulco and head down the strip stopping at Sabrina or Azucena for sophisticated Puerto Rican food. 7\. Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 40-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help coordinate tours to this destination. 8\. Spend a day in Old San Juan. El Nido is a 10 min Uber ride from the oldest city in the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food, drinks, and shopping to enjoy! Other Things to Note: STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include: \- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom) \- 3 garbage bags \- 1 roll of paper towels \- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) \- 1 dish soap \- 1 dish sponge Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay. Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation. HOUSE RULES RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: There are elderly residents in this building. Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 2 adults/children at all times, including visitors. OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund. TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items. TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated. SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that. If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule. If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival. Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you. TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues. Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased.
