If you are looking for a place to spend a vacation, then we have the right place! San Juan del Sur is a beautiful port in the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. This unique house is composed of a heated pool surrounded by a large outdoor terrace and covered barbecue. A bar room surrounded by gardens, a TV room with access to the back terrace with hammocks were a family with children or teens, can lounge and watch tv, play cards, checkers or any board-game. In its 6 rooms you can perfectly accommodate 16 persons. Four of these Bedrooms are located inside the house and the other two outside with independent entrances. All have their individual bathroom, ceiling fan, and air conditioning. Also two guest bathrooms. Our house also has a very large kitchen equipped with everything you will need plus an island for preparing foods, a dinning room for 8 people, service area, and enough parking for 6 – 8 cars. The house has water purifier for consumption. WIFI, water storage tanks, back-up power plant that supplies electricity to the house in case of a power outage. Because of the exorbitant price of electricity in Nicaragua, only 30 KW per day are included in the price, the rest is paid by the guest. For stays longer than a week, the included electricity consumption varies. It was great to look at all of the family history and artefacts throughout. The villa is better than the pictures on the website show. It really is a great place to stay and less than 5 minutes walk to the beach and all of the interesting bars and restaurants. There was a beautiful breeze that went through the villa and meant that we hardly touched the air con and even with 8 of us we stayed within the electricity allowance. The location was good although the property was a bit overlooked. Also just note that the trees gave a lot of shade which was great for the people that wanted it but did limit the sun bathing at times for others. Marvin and Roberta were a dream. So helpful and such lovely people. They really couldn't do enough for us. We really enjoyed our stay here and would encourage anyone to book it. ##### Lianne B. Ericka was proactive and helpful with all aspects of the trip. Caretakers Marvin and his wife (apologize for forgetting her name) acted as groundskeeper, housekeeper and concierge. Cooking is also offered. We were awe struck by this beautiful, unique and historical house built in in 1961 in the Frank Lloyd Wright style. It’s a work of art. The house is filled with photos and momentous from the Holmann family dating back to its American patriarch, Charles Holmann, who served as SJDS US Consul during its heyday when Cornelius Vanderbilt ran steamships from NewYork to San Francisco through Nicaragua. Google it. Make reservations early. We made ours six months ahead and we’re glad we did. The location is perfect two blocks from anywhere you want to go. This was our first priory because houses with stunning views on the hill mean long treks up and down those hills or taxis. Pro tip. It’s Africa hot in early October. Tarzan would say “man it’s hot.
