POLICIES & GOOD NEIGHBOR GUIDELINES • GUEST REQUIREMENTS | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30. • OCCUPANCY | Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (ie includes both guests & visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2\. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight. • NOISE | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. Parties are not allowed. We loved staying on the Bay side- very nice and quiet. Close walk to beaches and restaurants. Easy parking in the public parking lot, which was about 2 blocks away. We lived the balcony and watching the college crew team in the morning out there practicing. 2 complaints- one was that the bathroom smelled like urine the whole time. It’s clean; however this smell was off putting and made it feel dirty. The other is that the dryer didn’t work. It was less than a 10min walk to the Pacific Beach and the city bus route runs right along Mission Blvd making it easy and affordable to get many touristsy spots. The air-conditioning works very good and the bed was really soft and comfortable. My only complaint is that there was no parking at all when we showed up. No street or paid parking available. The only parking we could find had a 5 hour limit. We came on a weekend when it had dropped into the 70s from consistently being in the 80s so that was probably why. I wanted to do water sports and it’s only a 5 minute walk to rent kayaks, paddle boards etc in the bay. I think it’s a pretty good value considering the location to everything which is very walkable. If you are traveling with a partner, it might be a little tight space wise for more than a few days. If you’re solo it’s a pretty great option. ##### Mike R. I didn’t have any issue with parking. Their team was very responsive if any issues came up. The bed was so comfy and I’m kind of a bed snob. (Lol) There were times I didn’t even want to leave the room. Absolutely loved my stay here. I’ll 1000 % be back. It’s a perfect getaway spot for couple or solo traveler. Only 2 blocks from the pacific boardwalk. Comfortable accommodations for sleeping.( A few small details could have improved the experience. Kitchen disposal jammed, shower leaked on floor a bit, bathroom sink fills up and doesn’t drain properly, toilet paper roll slides off holder onto floor.) As parking is not included it is suggested to street park on Mission Blvd. The paid public parking lot is exorbitantly expensive- However! We found a free lot a short walk south down the bay walkway at El Carmel St. for day and overnight Perfect! We had a great week there. And would recommend. ##### Greg M. Once in the VRBO unit, we were happy to see how clean the unit was. Cleaning products left quite a strong odor inside, so we opened the windows and left for a bit. My girlfriend was very excited about the unit and the location and some sun. About 1 hour after arriving at the unit, we heard some loud noises coming from downstairs. I went down to see what was going on and texted Surf Style and was told that there had been a leak and some water damage in the unit directly below us. The construction noise went on until 5:00 PM. The contractor stated that they were done and had one more day the following Monday and Surf Style stated that there wouldn't be any more noise other than some painting on Monday. This was upsetting to us because we paid a lot of money for the 4 nights and was expecting a very nice and quiet stay, especially from construction noise within the building itself. The other issue we had was with the refrigerator. We bought some nice food for our stay. The refrigerator part was not very cold and the freezer part, well our ice cream melted. This was upsetting as well. I texted Surf Style and got a message back to adjust the temperature. I looked at the temp adjustment and it wasn't clear how to adjust it. Either way, some of our food didn't survive. It didn't seem to be any big deal to Surf Style, which again was upsetting. ##### Rick S. Wonderful view and great location. Should be advertised that there is no parking at the accommodation. You have to find parking on a nearby street which can be challenging. The listing says it is 1 bedroom but in reality it is a studio suite. Feel the bathroom needs a refresh. It looked old and needed more hooks to hang towels etc..
