A beach vacation is always nice but the difference from being a few blocks away from the ocean and being ocean front is really like being miles apart. This is an opportunity to be ocean front in South Mission Beach one of the premiere locations any where in the world and our location is away from the large parking lots where the beach gets crowded. Many days at our house you'll feel like you are on a private beach. Treat your family to an OCEAN FRONT vacation and you'll never want to stay anywhere else. Comfortable one bedroom apartment directly on the ocean front, direct ocean views from the living room and kitchen. Located in a quiet area in South Mission Beach but only a five minute walk to the attractions at Belmont Park. Just a block away you'll find a liquor store, a grocery store, a coffee shop, a pizzeria, a bar & grill and take out Mexican food. A maximum of four people are allowed on the property at any one time. Please no events or parties. Great for a small family or a couples getaway. Inside direct ocean view from the living room and kitchen. Fully furnished kitchen. DirectTV and free WIFI access. Simmons Beautyrest Heavenly King Bed with an adjustable base in the bedroom and queen memory foam sleeper sofa in the living room. All linens provided. New laminate flooring in the living room and bedroom, tile in the kitchen and bathroom. Outside step onto the beach or enjoy the patio with a table, chairs, loungers and umbrellas. BBQ on gas grill while enjoying the ocean views. Onsite outside parking for one medium sized vehicle. (large vehicles like a Suburban will fit but it's tight) We're a five minute drive from Sea World, a 20 minute drive to the world famous San Diego Zoo and about 40 minutes to Lego Land. The Mission Beach boardwalk is walking distance as is Belmont Park. Restaurants were close by. Furthermore, most of the attractions around San Diego are no more than 20 minutes away at the most. Sea World is under 10 minutes away and Balboa Park is under 20 minutes. The location is the biggest plus for this property. Definitely 5 stars. In terms of the apartment itself, we really only spent the evenings at the unit which made it perfect for us. If I were being honest, the apartment itself was perhaps a little sub-average. Definitely not terrible but not the nicest either. It was OK and worked for what we were looking for. Would we stay there again? Perhaps. There were only three of us. Two slept in the main bedroom (with the king bed). This was comfortable. One of us slept on the couch pull out bed. To be fair, most pull out beds are not comfortable. And this one is no different. The pillows for the pull out should be replaced (they were very flat). But again, we only spent the evenings at the property so all of the shortcomings were minor inconveniences in the grand scheme of things. The property manager was very responsive. We lost an Apple Watch outside the property somewhere. One of the other guests in the upstairs unit found it and let the property manager know. He quickly notified us which was greatly appreciated. It is old and badly in need of deep cleaning and painting. The front door and screen door were littered with many/possibly hundreds of dead flies; rusty grates. On bottom floor. It was right on the ocean with spectacular views. It’s true to the pictures and listing description. It was cozy and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I’m picky.
