"We loved our stay at Villas Verdes. Perfect location- close to town and beach. Loved the private outdoor space and a kitchen so we didn’t have to eat out every meal. Kids loved the pool and we appreciated the boogie boards and pool toys available for beach and pool. The staff were great. There was always someone cleaning and maintaining the property and beautiful tropical gardens. We’d definitely stay here again."

Azura Beach Resort - All Inclusive - Adults Only

"Hotel Azura is a beautiful, peaceful resort that's perfect if you're looking to relax and reset. The property is very clean, the staff is friendly, and there are plenty of places to lounge by the pools and beach. The pools were beautiful, although leaves from the surrounding trees often ended up in the water. The staff worked hard to keep them clean. This is not a party resort, so don't expect entertainment or nightlife. Also, keep in mind it's about a 2.5 to 3-hour drive from the airport and most excursions. The food was excellent, but the restaurant service was very slow, even when it wasn't busy. My room was spacious and clean, but I wasn't a fan of the overhead rain shower since I prefer not to get my hair wet every time I shower. The bathroom also has a very open layout with little privacy. My biggest complaint was housekeeping. They entered my room at least twice a day, often without notice, which made me uncomfortable. Once a day would have been more than enough. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Hotel Azura is a gorgeous resort with amazing food and a relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, I'd definitely recommend it."

"This property has literally everything you could possibly need and more! From beach equipment, Alexa speakers and a fully functional printer. Paul was very responsive. It is an easy walk to the beach (in fact my family of 6 including young children only drove the first time) and there is plenty of stores and restaurants/bars nearby. The traffic from the road was fine but on the weekend the karoke bar across the street was a little loud , but to be honest my kids and I got a kick out of it. The restaurants are pricey and the place is a tad touristy but there is an affordable grocery store too houses down and Paul's condo has everything you need to cook a nice meal. My kids absolutely loves the LED lights in the pool and having plenty of bathrooms. The a/c worked great as did the wifi. If your looking for a walkable, convenient and comfy home near the beach in Samara this is the spot for you!"

"Best hotel in Samara, guaranteed! Affordable and smack downtown. Laura, Jessica and Karina were top notch with their fine customer service and friendliness. Pools and overall property is well kept. Had an amazing stay plus breakfast was a perk. Italian restaurant in site is a must! Extremely pleased. Will come back here."

"Tout était impeccable ; la chambre, la piscine,… Impossible de se sentir plus dans la jungle qu’à cet endroit! C’était magique de prendre son café dans le hamac ou se laver dans la douche extérieure. Le déjeuner était succulent et différent des « classiques » du coin. La plage de Samara était à 5 minutes de voiture: toujours facile de se stationner. Honnêtement, la tranquillité valait la distance. Excellent service, très accommodants. J’ai tout adoré!!! Merci"

"Bill's place is amazing. Of all the places to stay in Samara, this place felt perfect for our family of 7. It is easily walkable to the beach - I timed it at 4 minutes and 30 seconds. And several times on our walk to the beach, we saw and heard monkeys. The apartment has everything we could have wanted for a beach trip: beach chairs, separate towels for pool and beach, beach toys, pool floats, board games, umbrellas, etc etc. The host has really thought through what a traveling family needs for a beach vacation. The gated entrance with onsite attendant made us feel safe at all times (although Samara itself never felt anything remotely close to "unsafe") and it was nice to know someone was onsite if needed. The host, Bill, and the property management company were both exceptionally responsive and very helpful. We got held up in terrible Costa Rica traffic on our drive to Samara and the local property management company made it super-convenient to check-in after a long day of travel. While we had a rental car, a car would not be absolutely necessary here. You can still walk to many places in Samara from here, although it would probably be easier with a car to get to the more northern end of town. The A/C units worked well enough to make our stay comfortable and the view from the kitchen and the master BR are unmatched in Samara. The view from the pool was great too and we hardly ever had to share it with other residents. 10/10 we would stay here again."
