We did not even stay the night here despite losing money. It was run down, property did not match the description of being on beach but was a long walk away. Beds were hard and there was a dog running free throughout. I cannot recommend this place unless you simply want a cheap bed. The ad needs to properly represent the facility. It's a hostel, not a lodge ,as well.

This is a difficult review to write. Maybe you’ve had the experience of being a border in a family home, where you developed mixed sympathies with your landlords, engaging with them on a social level a feeling part of the family. In this “hostel”, we seemed to be the only tourists in a group of long time boarders— during rainy season tourists are scarce. So you get to feel the rhythm of the home, and understand the economic precarity of those you live among. Marisol, our host, was very inviting and kind. And yet, as a long reviewer for this site, I feel compelled to tell the truth. I cannot recommend this stay at all. First of all, the photos on Hotels.com are false. This is not a beachfront property, and you are a long hot 15 minute walk from town and the beach, with no public transport. In our first night, returning from a turtle tour at 10:30 at night, we were locked out of the “hostel” and the keys we were given did not work. There was a downpour. We had to wake up the whole neighborhood to get inside after 20 minutes. We were soaked. There was no help from the management, but the kindness of a stranger who helped us get into our room. There is no hot water or water pressure in the shower. However, it must be said, the AC and the WiFi are excellent.
