Very near to the main square with a pizzeria very close by, although only open in the evening. Faded grandeur but quirky and just what we wanted. Host charming and informative, who lent us glasses so we could buy wine and enjoy it on the sunlit terrace.
An additional unexpected treat from Lecce was watching the dancing of the Pizzicata in the main square, very atmospheric and romantic with scarves, an accordion player, tambourines, castanets and singing - all for the pure pleasure of it.
