The hosts go above and beyond in helping their guests out. They provide maps and information on local foods, markets, travel highlights and even hours. Provided some welcome snacks too :) We even had some questions after we left and they answered them! The only thing I didn't like is that one of the plants outside blocked my view of the mountain. You had to get up to get the view. Also the place is down a little hill, which is not accessible by transportation. You have to walk a bit. The hosts let you know about this in advance.
This is a small and cosy hotel with 4 rooms. The room furnishings are minimal but the owners are a very loving family and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. When I checked in, Van walked me through the map of Sapa and gave me tips on how I should plan my itinerary. Her recommendations turned out to be great! After I checked out, they also allowed me to take a shower (as I had just returned from a Fansipan hike). They are always ready to render assistance and you will not regret staying here!
Approaching from uphill the hotel isn't very visible, but on walking in it was clear why other reviews are so positive. We could not have been made more welcome, and the place and views looked great. The room was spacious, comfortable and great value, and we enjoyed breakfast. Would highly recommend.
The owner/manager has two faces. First face on the phone told me that early check-in after traveling all night on the train would be OK(He said, I will take care of you!) The second face was when we arrived at 9am and he said we could not check-in until 1pm.I have no rooms available now. However, when I became irratated a clean room became available.(Hmmm). What a gem of a man!
The entrance is at the bottom of a very very steep embankment .
Had a pretty nice stay. We had our baby with us and the place was still very convenient. Nice staff, good breakfast, and good location. Our deluxe room was great. Thanks for having us!
I liked the quiet location down a small lane, but was still very close to all the action. The owners/hosts were tremendous and really made it. They were accommodating, helpful with plans for onward travel, cooked up amazing breakfasts every morning, and Minh even took me and my pack on his scooter to the bus station on the day of my travel.
Botanic Sapa has clean and modern rooms, strong WiFi, and incredibly accommodating and helpful staff. With four rooms and a husband-wife management duo, it feels like a luxurious homestay.
The street (on a steep incline if accessibility is a concern) is quiet yet near everything.
All in all, a great place to stay.
Charming hotel, staff very, very helpful and friendly and thoughtful, as my husband was unwell and the landlady advised on food.
Great advice on local attractions.
Good communication in English.
Fantastically friendly owners in this small hotel which is situated in a quiet spot but centrally situated. The owners will help with tours and travel if needed making everything very easy
Very small personal hotel, the owners are very helpful and lovely people.
The view from our bedroom window of the mountain was amazing.
Rooms are very clean.
Very close to town centre. although no problem to us, but there are some steep steps to get into town.
Very quiet street as no cars pass, you are woken by a cockerel in the morning.
The street outside is as much of Vietnam, has a drain smell sometimes.
Van and Minh are truly gracious hosts that gave us a bright spot in an otherwise dreary and foggy Sapa. Very clean, great views(if/when the fog clears) and comfortable. Hope you get better weather, but either way this is a great place to stay.
One of the best hotel experiences I've had anywhere. Four rooms, family-run, spotlessly clean, amazing mountain views, delicious breakfast, adorable puppy. Friendly, helpful, non-pushy owner and staff. Highly highly recommend!
Vann & her husband were very friendly, welcoming with excellent recommendations. We contracted a bug a couple of days before leaviing and she allowed us to check out 4 hrs later on checkout. Also gave us some medicine. I had forgotten my sunglasses when the shuttle bus picked us up and she must have ran after the bus to bring the glasses to me. Definitely recommend her place. Very kind people.
It is a lovely place to stay - quiet but close to the main street for all the cafes and shops. The owners are a young couple and their little girl who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The view from our rooms ( we were a faily of five in two rooms) was great when there was a break in the fog!! I would really reccomend this place to anyone not wanting to stay in a big souless hotel.
We stayed Botanic Sapa 6&7 May 2017. What a lovely place to stay. Yes we had to go up & down some stairs to get there, but that's what Sapa is all about. Our young owners were so friendly and obliging (and spoke excellent English) they carried our bags up & down for us. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms clean and fresh, and they arranged tours and transfers for us. It was a pleasure to stay there. Stay at Botanic Sapa you can' t go wrong
We stayed with Van and her family for three days in April. She did a great job introducing us to the Sapa area and even arranged a hike with a local Hmong guide. Breakfast was delicious. I think I had pho every morning. I would absolutely recommend her hotel. It was nice to stay in a smaller place and have more personalized service. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 for room comfort was the mattresses are a little on the firm side - this coming from a soft Westerner. The upside is she has heated mattress pads which I found useful when the dampness of Sapa made it difficult to warm up.
Hotel was a little difficult to find when we arrived as its down a quite side street on the main road. However once we found it the welcome was warm and friendly. The hotel run by a Vietnamese family were lovely and hospitable, they made an excellent breakfast and allowed us to check in earlier (for a small charge) when we arrived much earlier than the check in time. The hotel only has 4 rooms but they are cosy, clean and extremely authentic. Hotel had wifi in rooms and were were given alot of information about what Sapa had to offer on arrival. The only thing missing from the room that would have been useful was a small fridge to store drinks, but aside from that it was a perfect hotel!

Owner Van super helpful
I really liked the owner Van. She helped me on where to go and what to do, even renting me a pair of her shoes for my walk through the hills. Breakfast was very good. Both Ban and her husband helped me with my luggage up and down the stairs of the alley to the accomodation.
On the downside, they were doing contruction outside that started around 6am, which was impossible to sleep through and as well I could not connect very well to wi-fi.
Good service, friendly staff, quiet and nice environment. The hotel is also near to the Main Street of Sapa, which makes it accessible to the eateries and other attractions easily.
Van and Minh are fantastic hosts. Their charming hotel is just off the main street of Sapa and is nice and quiet. Van helped me a lot with planning my activities and giving advice on life in Sapa.
Owners very hospitable, and friendly, but room roof had mildew spots, due to conditions there. Sa Pa itself doesn't hold much appeal for us, but the trips to villages and beyond proved very interesting with some beautiful views. Accommodation was not as described on Hotels.com. (No fridge in room and no parking area).
Loved the couple that ran this place. Right near downtown Sapa. Awesome breakfast. We stayed two nights here with a home stay in between. They held our bags for us on the off night.
Hotel is located at a quiet alley. Room is clean, comfy and has a balcony.
Upon arrival, the owner will brief you on places of interest that you can go and the cost of transportation.
Owners are friendly, ready to help eg: my snickers was all muddy from walking, the owner's offer to use her boots. Another incident, one of the guest did not have a jumper the owner offer his jumper.
Clean room with a small sitting area outside room. BnB with a homely feel, run by a small family, Minh, Van, baby with a friendly dog. Will definitely stay there again when I go back to Sapa. This place is situated down a flight of steps at the corner of Cau May Street.
Made very welcome by the cheerful and friendly owners who speak very good English. Room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Hotel tucked away so quiet but close to everything. Van was a fount of knowledge about what to do in the area and organised everything for us. We had a fantastic stay in Sapa and will always remember Minh and Van fondly.

Good stay
Feel welcomed (the owners waited for us at the entrance, knowing that our bus has arrived). Remembered our names & immediately explain to us on the details of the hotel & town. Recommend us on places to visit & eat & what to do as well.
An excellent family operated bed and breakfast. A bit difficult to get down to upon arrival with luggage, but I'm sure with notification the family would expect to assist. Very friendly and helpful family.
Even though my wife Shraddha and I only stayed for a night in September we were made to feel immediately at home. The Botanic Sapa is a beautiful and homely house with all modern facilities. Minh and his lovely wife Van are the perfect hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay.
Positives:
- For a small fee they allowed us to check in a lot earlier in the day than normal. For those of you taking the overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa- this proves very useful.
- Very easy to communicate, both via email and in person. Both Minh and Van speak very good English.
- Clean and spacious rooms, with all modern facilities including fast wi-fi, hot water and air-conditioning.
- Fantastic home- cooked breakfast cooked by Van which is normally included as part of the deal. Make sure you get her Vietnamese omelette.
- The hotel is well located near the middle of the town centre, easy walking distance to most places.
- Van was extremely helpful with suggesting tours and things to do around Sapa. They also organised our travel back to Hanoi via bus.
Negatives:
There were NONE.
I strongly recommend staying at the Botanic Sapa next time you visit. Make sure you book early as there are 4 rooms on the property.
Thanks again Van and Minh.
The staffs here are the owners and along with their lovely daughter and cute dog, they make the most welcoming host I've ever meet. The place is still a hotel but it feels more like coming home with the owners working there
Botanic Sapa was one of the highlights of the trip. The owner, Van, and her family were wonderful hosts, and they helped make the stay in Sapa easy and comfortable, through their friendliness and recommendations. The hotel is perfectly located with a nice view and well maintained rooms. I could not have asked for a better experience.
We stayed at Botanic Sapa right when we got back from Home Stay, and it was a great decision.
Although not on the Main Street, but just a few steps from there, and close enough.
The hospitality is great, the room was really spacious with a beautiful view and overall we were delighted.
The price is not too high, but definitely worth it!
The staff here was remarkable. We stayed at this hotel and also their sister hotel. They shuttled us between the two , the bell man went to the train station to ensure we got on the train. My wife was sick and all of the staff were extremely accommodating on getting her food , anything we needed and asking how she was doing. AMAZING customer service!!!! Would definitely recommend.
A great stay is more than a clean room and a comfortable bed. In this place we got much more: genuinely friendly hotel owners who did their best to make our stay memorable. A true gem of a family run hotel in Sapa.
This place is very new and cleanliness of the room is awesome.
Would prefer to have a higher room to get a better view of the scenery from the balcony.
Value price for a stay in Sapa and the lovely couple owner hosted us really well.
They are very friendly and willing to share and recommend us the attractions to visit in sapa. (even we woke him up in 7-8am to place our luggage before check-in) Wife is a great cook for breakfast which is very nice.
Location is really good, just that there are stairs before reaching hotel which is a little inconvenience if there is elderly.
The owners turn a nice homestay into brilliant. They are very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. No need to worry about tour bookings, bus connections, etc. they do it all. If booking ask for the top floor and pay the extra. The fantastic views are well worth the extra. Definitely will stay again when back in Sa Pa
