Set in a four-hectare estate, the property is surrounded by gardens, vineyards, and an olive and fruit orchard. It backs onto a wood of centuries-old oaks and pines. It is a very peaceful and restful place. La Grande Bastide includes 4 independent properties, including La Maison du Colorado which is ideal for six guests. The other 3 properties are also featured on Abritel: \- A house four 8, ref. Abritel: 2190618 \- A house for 4, ref. Abritel: 1935717 \- A house for 11 (+4 optional), ref. Abritel: 1937958 It is also possible to rent the whole property via the Abritel listing 1939197\. This is an ideal option for large groups (up to 35 people) who wish to spend holidays with family & friends or to organise events. La Maison du Colorado comprises a beautiful flat on the first floor and a spacious studio on the ground floor. The house offers magnificent views of the Provençal Colorado mountains and the property's olive orchard. The house is naturally bright and well furnished. The rooms have air conditioning. A flower-filled courtyard and a large terrace are at your disposal. It's a superb place for meals with family and friends, surrounded by the colours and scents of roses, laurel, lavender and passionflowers. The upstairs flat comprises : \- A large, fully-equipped kitchen; \- A beautiful dining room; \- A first bedroom with a 160cm x 200cm bed; \- A second bedroom with a 135cm x 190cm bed; \- A large bathroom and separate WC. The studio on the ground floor comprises \- A large living area, with a fully equipped kitchenette and a 160cm x 200cm bed; \- A large bathroom, WC and washing machine. All the gardens, woods, the olive orchard and the swimming pool of La Grande Bastide are accessible to our guests only. Please respect the flora and fauna, as well as other potential residents. From the pool (6m x 12m, secured) you have a magnificent view of the Vaucluse Mountains, the Luberon, the valley and the vineyards. The pool lining was completely renovated in 2024\. The water is treated with magnesium salts, making it odourless and much gentler for your skin than conventional chlorine. The pool is regularly cleaned and maintained by a specialised company. Sun loungers and a shower are available by the pool. Access to the property is via an automated gate requiring a security code. The entrance road is flat and lined with trees and plants, leading directly to the private car park in front of the residence. The property is enclosed by a fence. La Grande Bastide is close to many of Provence's historic sites, including Roussillon, Gordes, Sault, Forcalquier and Manosque. You can also reach Avignon, Aix en Provence, Cavaillon and Carpentras in an hour or less. The region is very popular with walkers and cyclists. You can walk to the Colorado Provençal in less than 10 minutes and follow the many trails within it. You can also enjoy wonderful bike rides through vineyards and lavender fields (in season), and perhaps take on the legendary Tour de France routes up Mont Ventoux. Many local markets are within easy reach. The famous Apt market, dating back to the 12th century, attracts crowds every Saturday to find local products. Large and well equipped apartment on a very nice property with a great pool. The apartment is partly a bit old, but nothing is missing. Air conditioning is available. Houcine was een lieve gastheer en de communicatie met Yanbing verliep heel vlot. De locatie is top: goede uitvalsbasis voor verschillende uitstappen. Het huis is prachtig gelegen en het appartement groot genoeg voor ons gezin van 5\. Het huis is schoon. De koffiezetters blijken niet goed te werken maar er werd de volgende dag meteen een andere koffiezetter gebracht. Leuk dat er een tafeltennistafel aanwezig is voor de kinderen. Het zwembad is schoon en heeft een prachtig uitzicht. Hele mooie omgeving. In het appartement liggen folders en boekjes met tips voor activiteiten. En plein coeur du Lubéron, c'est un point central qui permet de rayonner sans souci pour visiter cette très belle région. La cerise sur le gâteau, le Colorado provençal (que l'on voit du séjour de la maison) est à 2 kms ! En tant que trailer, j'ai apprécié ce terrain de jeu vallonné et coloré qui me change de mon Nord bien Plat ! La Bastide est charmante, la piscine calme et ensoleillée avec un panorama à perte de vue sur la plaine d'Apt et de magnifique couchers de soleil. Coté équipement, rien à redire, c'est très spacieux, la maison reste fraiche malgré la chaleur. C'est très bien pour des vacances, par contre, le charme extérieur ne se retouve pas dans l'amménagement et le mobilier intérieur qui manque de cachet local (c'est un point d'amélioration). La description des locations et sa situation sont précises, tout était propre et bien entretenu, le propriétaire nous équipa avec quoi que ce soit dont nous avions besoin. Les jeunes étaient tous dans le Grand Colorado et nous dans la Maison d'Auvent dont la vue entre autre choses nous fait toujours rêver. Le terrain de la propriété est très varié, très beau, les enfants s'y regalaient et nous les adultes aussi. Nous avons beacoup apprécié la promenades dans le Colorado et les visites dans des villages moyenâgeux qui ravissent tout le monde. Passer ses vacances ici correspond pleinement à ce qu'est dit sur le site, nous n'arrêterons pas à recommander à y passer ses vacances. ##### Karen Marie S. This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Karen Marie S., København Nov 22, 2016 #### La Maison d'Auvent et Le Grand Colorado En qualité de famille de trois génerations nous passâmes un séjour extraordinairement réussi logée dans deux maisons de la Grande Bastide: La Maison d'Auvent et Le Grand Colorado, les jeunes - neuf personnes - logés dans celle-ci et nous dans La Maison d'Auvent dont le vue nous fait toujours rêver. Le site de la Grande Bastide est des plus beau de la region, la quiétude unique, et la qualité des logements parfaite. Les deux maisons que nous eûmes louées satisfaisaient pleinement à nous attendes, tout était bien entretenu, propre, la description des locations étant précise. Le terrain autour des maisons est varié et pour enthusiasmer l'imagination des enfants et se promener, se détendre parfait. Les enfants ont été heureux comme nous en profitant des promenade dans le Colorado et en visitant des villages moyenâgeux des environs. Il y a tout pour faire réussir ses vacances dans cet endroit. Nous y retournerons et recommendons à tous de profiter de ces locations idéales et même pas chères comparées à d'autres dans cette région. ##### Karen Marie S. Dikke muren zorgen voor een fijn binnenklimaat. Prachtige locatie. Fijn zwembad. Prachtig uitzicht. Zeer vriendelijke beheerder en personeel.
