    There was a mixup with our room. We were to have a larger one with 3 beds. In the end Eugene offered us an extra room at no charge. The rooms are not very modern but we’re very clean and comfortable. We found Eugene went above and beyond and we would recommend this inn.

    Although this is an older hotel it was very clean and the staff were amazing. The owner Gene made us feel like family.

    I decided not to stay as there was nothing for my two year old to do or us parents as we don't drink or gamble. We had been travelling for 2 weeks and my daughter didn't understand we just buried her grandfather and uncle so we did our best to make the trip enjoyable for her.

    Do not judge the hotel by the outside. Gene was very helpful and kind. He came out to my vehicle and carried my suitcase up as there is no elevator and I find stairs hard to navigate

    The people on the small town of Russell are wonderful and the staff an owner of the Asessippi Inn are just too amazing. When I was stranded they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and help me get home.
