"Best hotel we stayed in all of Sweden. Super kid friendly with outdoor playground, mini-golf, water-play, and indoor play area and movie night. Rooms were great and infused with character. Hotel lobby areas were very welcoming with lots of seating and areas to hang out. Staff was quite friendly in general and the breakfast buffet was decent. Best part was the location which was only a 10 min drive from Astrid Lindgren's World and even closer to the cute central square of Vimmerby."

This area is the heart of the village, characterised by its traditional Swedish architecture and a relaxed pace of life. You'll find a few local shops and eateries, all within easy walking distance. The main road, leading through the village, connects you directly to larger towns and attractions in the county.

Temperatures are generally mild and comfortable, making it ideal for hiking, cycling, or enjoying the many lakes and forests. This is also when local attractions and services are fully operational.

For those who prefer a quieter experience and don't mind cooler temperatures, late spring (May) or early autumn (September) can also be a good choice. The landscapes are beautiful with spring blooms or autumn colours, and there are fewer visitors.
