Our room looked exactly as pictured, and the views around the property were absolutely beautiful. The food was also a highlight—breakfast was delicious, and we especially loved the afternoon tea and scones. Everything about our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. "The staff made such a fuss of us it was our 50th wedding anniversary and they could not of done more to make it special for us The lovely young man on reception upgraded our room and gave us a great gin and tonic and the customer relations lady was lovely and Abby our waitress in the gannet restaurant all looked after us fantastically they are à credit to the hotel When we got to our lovely heritage room there was a bottle of bubbly waiting for us And when we went to dinner in the gannet restaurant there was a card signed by all staff members and a wedding photo they had put in a frame which my sister had sent Thank you to Jessica for doing that my sister commented on our lovely you were also If you want to go to an hotel and be made to feel very special go to Protea in Mossel bay thanks again to all you lovely people xxxx"

"The Commodore is a very nice hotel, very close (just a few minutes walk) from the attractions, shops and restaurants of the V&A Waterfront. It is well maintained, exceptionally clean, has great furnishings and tasteful modern decor. The restaurant and food are very good and the staff very polite, friendly, helpful and accommodating. It is not far from the City Centre and is an excellent base from which to explore Table Mountain and the rest of the scenic Cape Peninsula. It has a distinct upmarket ambiance. I have stayed here twice in the last 5 years. Highly recommended!"

All of the front desk and restaurant staff were amazing. Our 2 room suite was awesome and the terrace on the 4th floor is a great place to relax in the evenings!"
