Lovely place, slightly expensive and rather disappointing restaurant. both facility and food. Breakfast buffet was squeezed into a corner and conseqently crowded and shambolic.
What a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful manicured gardens
I stayed in a room on the water. What a room, plenty of space, excellent shower, comfy bed, beautiful.
A great and charming hotel. We had a floating room and it was quite an experience. The room was well equipped with partly "expensive " objects. The garden is beautiful. Dinner was made of fresh food, perhaps a little bit more fantasy would have been a plus. Moreover, the cleaning service could make an effort. Spider webs are acceptable in a nature environment, but not dust.
Really enjoyed our stay here it was a good base to explore the region on bikes. The local area has all the services that you will need if you are on a bike tour and it's a great location to use as a basis to explore the region.
Stayed in the boat house. Lovely clean place on the water with beautiful views and rooms but booked a room at this hotel specifically because it had air con as i had been working in a hot factory all day. However, there were no rooms left with air con. There were a lot of spiders which i am an arachnophobe so made me very uncomfortable. Breakfast was limited. Pait €17 and basically only had a couple of coissants and a coulle of slices of bread.
A once huge and ornate water tower transformed into a unique hotel with great accomodations, its own high quality restaurant and convenient parking. Highly recommended!
Loved staying here! The property and rooms had so much character and charm. The restaurant was enjoyable. We ate there for dinner and again at breakfast. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. So comfortable that i emailed the hotel after our stay to inquire about the bedding. They shared with me where they bought their pillows, mattress and bedding. I bought the sheets and won’t ever buy other sheets ever again! What a fun place to visit and experience.
Stayed here a few times in the garden rooms. Nice and spacious and the restaurant has good food. Could do with having some larger beer glasses for the Britain’s.
it has its own car park if you are driving. 20 mins walk from the train station and centre.
Great quirky hotel, excellent service, not your normal run of the mill hotel which makes it so good, also great nights sleep, very quiet, fantastic shower, restaurant also great using home grown products
I have never been to hotel like this unique before. I received a 'floating room,' which is on the water. The view from my room is beautiful. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast is very fresh. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to this area.
Had room on top floor looking towards landward side. Very spacious with exposed metal and wood roof structure. Clean and well-equipped room with large double bed. Access was by external, glazed lift with wide views. Staff at check in helpful. Took breakfast in restaurant in separate building across garden. Good buffet. Minor points to note were that the safe in the room did not lock and that a thunderstorm with heavy rain was noisy on the roof. Neither caused us problems but might affect others.
This is one of my favourite hotels that I stay in - anywhere. The staff are naturally friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, the restaurant is fantastic and the whole place is wonderfully and uniquely quirky. I look forward to staying here again at anytime!!
Nice hotel with views. Bit aged. But has character and would likely come back again. Breakfast / restaurant a bit of an acquired taste, but going for the whole organic vibe which is prob better for some ppl. Nice boutique option

Villa Augustus - Stunning Hotel in Dordrecht
This is an absolutely amazing Hotel. Beautiful grounds and gardens.
I loved Villa Augustus... fabulous gardens and good location, great food in the restaurant including lots of produce from their own gardens. Beware that not all rooms have aircon though fans are provided on request. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and any problems (issue with a room door lock) were quickly dealt with. I hope to stay there again and would recommend it to friends and family for a break, not just for business.
Villa Augustas is a gorgeous, whimsical hotel surrounded by formal and informal gardens. It's also on the river. We loved the unique water tower room we stayed in, with massive steel beams running across the ceiling and a row of small windows looking over the flower and veggie garden. It's well-located for a visit to the Biesbosch National Park, only a 10-15 minute drive away. It's unlike any hotel we've stayed in and we would highly recommend it.
Villa Augustus was wonderful! We enjoyed a delicious meal at their on-site restaurant and toured the gardens and grounds in the morning. The staff were more than accommodating and I would recommend this hotel to others.
Lovely garden, unique building (it's a converted water tower), it's nicely located near the river and it's got a nice restaurant in a seperate building. Really enjoyed my stay. In summer it's fantastic to sit outside in a quiet corner of the garden.
Unbelievable such a beautiful place and attention to detail so incredible that it looks effortless !!! 7 star !!! We mistakening missed our booking and called them to say what had happened and rebooked for a day later , to be told when we arrived on Sunday that there would be no charge for our missed booking , u mean really didn't know this kind of generosity still existed !!! Thank you Villa Augustus from a very grateful South African traveller and student daughter !!!!! Many happy returning indeed . Regards Carol and Kyra Mercer
A stay here is a must on anyone's "hotels to stay in" list!!!
A quirky stile in an old water tower with a great look and style!
The hotel has been carefully restructured and tastefully furnished giving a delightful feeling as you enjoy your time there.
I stayed in two different rooms on two occasions, one high up on the 6th and a lower, both were equally lovely. Comfortable with good wifi and loads of space in the room.
The restaurant serves good food in the evening and a great breakfast in the morning.
Well worth the stay!
