There is much to recommend this hotel. The common areas are lovely; the location beautiful; and the spa very relaxing (though nude, despite being co-ed). The concierge was attentive and helpful. We borrowed e-bikes and enjoyed exploring the surrounding Tegernsee lake area (though they had no helmets - we had to rent these nearby). There are two restaurants - a casual bar and a more formal traditional Bavarian restaurant. The food and cocktails were quite good. The rooms themselves were large but a bit rustic. And for the price, one might expect service similar to a Four seasons or Ritz Carlton; but that was not what we found. Our nut allergic 18 year old daughter was accidentally served a salad with cashews. The waiter was extremely apologetic but our daughter nonetheless spent two nights and one day at the local hospital and the rest of us spent our time either visiting her or driving 2.5 hours round trip to the Munich airport to replace her epinephrine. I’d have expected the hotel to have found and secured the epipen for us, or at least located one (we did that ourselves despite not speaking German); and I’d have expected them to comp part of our stay, since once our daughter was poisoned, it was no longer a vacation for any of us…but they did none of that. They neither problem solved effectively nor took any accountability for their staff’s mistake. We left frustrated and disappointed that we’d spent so much for what became a two-day nightmare.

Wonderful high-end, old-school Bavarian charm and service. Beautiful grounds, easy walk to the Tegernsee, a comfortable and welcoming room, sumptuous breakfast buffet, and excellent hotel restaurant. My new favorite place in Germany!

Charming hotel on banks of Tergensee
Charming hotel with excellent staff and service in ideal location on the banks of Tergensee. Lovely ambience in the restaurant and bar in the evenings with live pianist. Comfortable room but bed slightly hard and no air conditioning during heat wave.

Excellent hotel
This is a first rate luxury hotel. The staff is responsive & always at your service. The included breakfast is over the top - more selections of Grrman cheeses, cold cuts, breads than you can imagine. The indoor pool & sauna are excellent; the grounds are loaded with random sculpture. Our room was a bit smaller than I like, but the bathroom was great. You can't go wrong at this luxury hotel, & it's a very short walk from a lovely lake & stylish shopping. Pricey but certainly worth it.

Lovely hotel and great employees
On arrival there was a mix up with our booking, but the team could not do enough to find us a room and to make our stay good. We would definitely stay here again and intend to. The area is lovely we rented bikes from hotel and enjoyed the gardens.

Sehr aufmerksame, freundliche Mitarbeiter beim Frühstück.Sehr hundefreundlich und hilfsbereit. Saunalandschaft sehr sauber, aber: keine Handtücher vorhanden und trotz Reklamation ca. 15min warten bis frische Tücher gebracht wurden

Unsere Suite im Nebengebäude war modern und sehr gross, fantastisch. Frühstück und Service sehr gut. Zimmer im Hauptgebäude und Schwimmbadbereich in die Jahre gekommen, soll aber im nächsten Jahr modernisiert werden.

Sehr gute Lage und hervorragend geführtes Hotel!
Schönes Hotel für erholsame Tage am Tegernsee. Sehr guter und hilfsbereiter Service, nette Rezeption, saubere und gut ausgestattete Zimmer mit schönem Ausblick vom Balkon. Küche und Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen, Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet. Kommen immer wieder gerne her.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt
Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt in den Egerner Höfen sehr genossen. Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal, alles sehr sauber, bequeme Betten, schöne ruhige Lage. Kleine Kritikpunkte wären die doch etwas sehr überzogenen Getränkepreise im Restaurant/Bar, dass leider die Wasserleitungen sehr laut sind (ich hatte leider in meinem Nebenzimmer Leute, die Nachts um 1h ausgiebig geduscht haben) und vielleicht noch die etwas schlechte Lage der Seminarräume da hier ständig Liefer- und Fahrzeugverkehr. Aber das ist alles schon "jammern auf hohem Niveau". Ich würde das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
