We had an excellent stay at Residenza Scipioni. The location is convenient for exploring key areas of Rome, we were able to walk almost everywhere and there are many excellent restaurants near the property, which is in a safe, quiet and charming residential area. Nestle was extremely helpful and arranged transport for us from the airport to the hotel and pointed out the key areas of interest near the hotel and in Rome generally on our arrival.

Location; The hotel is well located to the Vatican and metro as well for easy access to the other major sights. Service:Nestle was very helpful in all ways and delivered service with a smile always. Cleanliness: perfect Bed comfort: can be improved. Single Bed was bit too cramp for me. Am slim already but perhaps have expected a bit wider one per photo. All in all tho it was a pleasant stay as rooms are really well kept and tidy.

I enjoyed my time here. Nestle, at the front desk, is particularly helpful. The location is great, particularly for the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica. The Ottaviano Metro stop is about two blocks away. I would stay here again.

I’m not sure I’d call this luxury, but it was perfectly cromulent for what I needed! Everything was clean, the bathroom was lovely. It was just a twin bed, but if you’re traveling alone, that’s all you need. Nestle was lovely at check in.

Great room with a nice view. Convenient location. One small addition that would make it even better would be a coffee machine either in the room or in the reception area :) Would definitely recommend.

Nice spot
A very nice room in a beautiful building, especially loved the rickety lift, Nestle at the front desk could not have been more helpful! Location is fantastic as well, not just for the Vatican, but subway, and walking.

Lovely and comfortable room in a central, but not crowded part of the city. Close to the metro station and a number of good bars and restaurants. Although staff were not on site during my very short stay, they provided very clear instructions for self-check-in etc.

We had a great time staying here. It was a wonderful area very close to Metro and to the Vatican. Nice and quiet felt very safe walking at night.

Staircase at the lobby was a great setback. No bottled water is provided. It was not near the metro station as people commented. The worst part is they didnt let me change the date one minute after I completed the booking. I was not canceling it. I just needed to change the date. I finally wasted one-night room rate

Hi, I think you got confused with your another accomodation? We are 3 minutes walk from the Metro Ottaviano. We have a minifridge with 4 bottles of water in every room

Rough start happy stay.
The start of my stay was rocky. On the website it says we can check in at 11am. I arrived 9:30am and was told I had to wait until 4:30p to check in. I wouldn’t have mind but, it was cold and pouring down raining. The hotel is in the perfect distance from all attractions. Great neighborhood eateries. The room was clean and fresh towels were provided when asked.

My Fantastic Roman Room and Holiday
Residenza Scipioni is first class all the way. What a fantastic room we had - I like to call it my 'apartment in Rome'! The staff was over-the-top friendly and kind. They were always asking me if they could help me find my way around Rome. Breakfast was always on-time and very good. Plenty of great fresh food to eat and the cappuccino and espresso was outstanding. My 'corner' room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I had the perfect view of St. Peter's Bascillica (Dome). It sure made for some great night-time pictures! Residenza Scipioni is very quiet and located in perfect walking distance to most all of the Rome sites. The 'local' restaurants are very good and authentic. I will definitely stay here again and will recommend Residenza Scipioni to all my family friends. Molto Buona. Squisito!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. It is perfect! The rooms are beautiful and exceptionally clean. The staff is super courteous and accommodating. I feel very much at home when I’m here.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and had a great experience. Our room was clean and comfortable and perfectly located for us as we had plans to visit the Vatican a few times. We could actually see it from our room! Public transportation was close by but we chose to walk everywhere and it was easy to do from here. The daily breakfast was very nice to start each day. Rocco was kind enough to help us make a reservation for the Borghese Gallery and arrange transportation to the airport for us on the morning we left. I would definitely stay here again! Location is perfect for sight-seeing and is easily accessible to metro. But can also walk and do a loop to see everything. Rocco is extremely accommodating.

Small room, but great price. VERY clean and updated. Staff is super friendly, breakfast is good - croissants, meats and cheeses, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc. Great location - 5 minute walk to the Vatican - you can see St. Peter's Basilica if you're on the correct side. Small hotel, only five rooms - more like a bed and breakfast, with your own bathroom in your room, etc. If you're looking for typical Marriott-style hotel, this is not it. But great for laying your head at night!

Great find in Rome
Enjoyed our stay in this residence very much, the girl on reception was lovely and so helpful , she welcomed us with a coffee and helped with transfers /tickets as well as printing boarding passes and giving recommendations for dinner locally, the breakfast was very limited but was enough, it was a ten minute walk to the vatican and only five mins to the closest underground stop. The room was nice with matching furniture, plenty hangers, the bathroom had a wonderful shower, (would have liked some coffee making facilities but it was not a problem) the price for Rome was excellent and we were happy with our choice.

Nice clean hotel close to the Vatican City.
The rooms were not easy to find - the only indicator is a small title on a brass plaque on the door. Once up on the 5th floor (using a quaint old style cage elevator) we were welcomed to the rooms by the receptionist and shown the facilities and our room. The room was not large but was perfect for our needs, as we spent most of the time in the city. It was spotlessly clean, had a great shower, and was well decorated. Breakfast was good. On return on the 3rd day of our 3 night stay, there was a strong smell of drains in the communal rooms but thankfully this didn't persist in the room. We asked to have access to the roof to see the Basilica and Vatican. It had a great view of the whole city, and would be worth developing it to allow access for all hotel guests.

Had a lovely time in this new elegant boutique hotel - location in nice quiet neighborhood near Vatican with great restaurants but a decent walk to centre area. Rooms are small but lovely with nice view. Service outstanding and includes excellent recommendations and advice.

Superb Perfection!!!
Marta and Fernando are awesome! They helped me plan my itinerary daily which allowed me to save tons of time and get the most out of my stay in Rome. Breakfast is great every morning as Marta makes and serves gourmet espresso and cappuccino to your table. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern with all the amenities one could desire. The location is great, close to St.Peters Square and Vatican City in a leisurely 5 minute walk. Metro stop as well in a short walk. Great neighborhood with plenty of nice and more then affordable restaurant's which Marta and Fernando are also happy to recommend and reserve for you if needed. Overall the Residenza Scipioni could not be better! Bravo!!!

Wonderful place to stay
I have visited Rome on many occasions and this was the first time I stayed in such a nice private residence. Immaculately clean, and great location. Close to the Vatican, Metro stop, great shopping street and nice lively area. The hosts were very friendly, full of helpful suggestions and great restaurant recommendations so that you can experience life a la Romana rather than falling into tourist traps. The area felt very safe and lots of people around all the time. Very quiet as well. Enjoyed my time here and will return.

Very nice place to stay, but IT IS NOT A REGULAR HOTEL but a Bed & Breakfast so check in instructions are crucial to the convenience and smoothness of your stay. Be sure to read their email regarding these instructions to avoid any problems.

Our stay in Rome couldn't have been any better! Marte and her husband (owners) are absolutely wonderful hosts!! They both go out of their way to make sure every detail is taken care of. They are both extremely helpful and do anything they can to make your stay enjoyable.One day we accidentally slept in and awoke at 10:30, a half hour past the time breakfast was being served. We rushed out just to try to get a cup of cappuccino before starting our day. Much to our surprise and delight, Marte had kept the entire breakfast buffet open until we had eaten. Like I said, they are concerned about making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Marte also gave us lots of suggestions on places to eat, places to visit and how to obtain tickets, and places to avoid. They are simply the best when it comes to hosting! We highly recommend Residenzi Scipioni!

Perfect for city break
We recently stayed here for a 3 night city break. Fernando & Marta (the owners) were delightful and really helpful regarding tickets for sightseeing and recommended some fabulous restaurants. The room was a bit small but spotlessly clean with en-suite spotlessly clean shower room. Breakfast was delicious croissants etc and service immaculate. I would definitely return.

Fantastic service
I thoroughly recommend these apartments in a quiet residential area of Rome. Clean, modern apartments that have everything you need. The personal service from Marta the owner made our stay very special. She was welcoming, very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was fresh and all you needed to start your day. We all were very impressed and recommend theses apartments to all lucky visitors to Rome.

AMAZING place
This is the perfect combination of the personal touch of a family-run "bed-and-breakfast"-style accommodation with style and luxury. Everything was perfect. Service was outstanding - not only spotlessly clean, and a lovely breakfast, but the couple who ran it recommended excellent restaurants and personally made calls to book restaurants, taxis and recommendations & tips for tourist site visits. Also, because it is located in a residential building in a residential neighbourhood, you kind of have a feeling of getting a bit of a glimpse into what it is actually like to live in Rome. Walking distance to all major sites; view of St.Peter's Basilica from the room windows, but on a quiet street!

Nice location!!
This place is run by a married couple. They were very nice, since it was the first time I've been to Rome they gave me a map and circle out all the sights that were might see and showed me how to get there either by bus or metro. Very informative. They can also help you book a car to pick you up from the FCO to their hotel for only 50 euros (and it a Mercedes E-class). I would definitely stay again when I have a chance to go to Rome again.
