Chaque chambre donne sur un balcon, comprenant la cuisine, habitable. Les finitions sont de haute qualité. TV et Wi-Fi ultra-rapide gratuit; Air conditionné dans les deux chambres. L'appartement est situé au Gianicolo, entre Trastevere et le Vatican, accessible à pied ou par un court trajet en bus (44, 75, 870 et autres), train urbain FL3, taxi (grande station à moins de 150 mètres), dans le quartier élégant de Monte Verde Vecchio. Excellent supermarché et des magasins dans la même rue, marché en plein air dans la rue parallèle. Elégants bars et pâtisseries, excellents restaurants et plats à emporter à proximité (50-200 mètres). Trois parcs historiques sont la fierté du quartier: le parc Gianicolo, à travers lequel vous pouvez rejoindre le Vatican avec une promenade de la vue magnifique sur Rome; Villa Sciarra, qui a été donnée à Mussolini qui l'a donné au peuple romain, villa Pamphili, résidence d'été des papes du 16ème siècle. Le Gianicolo est célèbre pour sa grande terrasse à 360 degrés sur Rome avec le monument à Garibaldi et sa femme Anita et pour les bustes de ses soldats (Garibaldi) et le monument aux morts dans la défense de la république romaine. Toujours sur le Janicule, la célèbre "fontanone" domine la ville, et immédiatement après l'église de San Pietro in Montorio, avec le merveilleux petit temple de Bramante et l'Académie espagnole avec son musée et l'ancien escalier qui mène à Trastevere. Les murs de Gianicolensi entourent la colline de Gianicolo et, à Porta San Pancrazio, dans l'arc à quatre côtés, est logé le Musée Garibaldi, en mémoire du héros qui a combattu pour la défense de la République romaine en 1849\. La villa appelée "Il Vascello" en raison de sa forme, a été laissée presque complètement détruite avec les signes des canonnades des Français par le Général Oudinot. De l'Arc du Janicule, à Piazzale Aurelio, naît la Via Aurelia Antica, et un peu plus loin se trouve la basilique paléochrétienne de San Pancrazio (Ve siècle après Jésus Christ), les catacombes n'étant pas encore entièrement explorées. Dans une partie du quartier, les rues ont conservé les noms latins (via Aurelia, via Vitellia, via Fonteiana, piazza Ottavilla, via del clivo Rutario). Vous serez au cœur de l'histoire. Vérifiez tout sur Internet maps et n'hésitez pas à me demander quoi que ce soit. Il est idéalement situé près du parc du Janicule qui offre une vue magnifique sur Rome. Maurizio nous attendait à la gare à notre arrivée et nous a très gentiment proposé de nous faire visiter le quartier. Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce quartier qui etait calme propre et sécurisé. L apparemment était tres grand pour deux mais nous a donné envi de revenir avec nos enfants et nos parents âgés car il y a un ascenseur et assez d espaces pour que chacun y trouve son compte. La propreté etait impeccable et la petite terrasse dans la chambre tres bien exposé pour profiter du vent du soir. Nous y avons dîner avec grand plaisir. We recommand this appartement because of the situation , not inside Rome but not to long. With the bus 75 or 44 we re near the center in few minutes. Le proprio était très gentil, nous a accueilli à la gare de Trastevere, nous a fait visiter le quartier qu’il connait bien et nous a transmit l’amour de sa ville. L’appartement est très grande, propre et bien meublé avec un lit confortable. On nous accueille avec un fond de cuisine complet : lait, beurre, café, thé, épices, pain et gâteaux. Nous recommandons cet appartement très fortement. We were very pleased with our two week visit to Rome and with our very nice apartment in Trastevere, very quite neighbourhood with excellent bus and tram services. The apartment owner met us at the local train station in Trastevere, gave us a guided tour of the sector and pointed out all the local sites which he knows very well. The apartment was big, clean, well furnished with a comfortable bed. The kitchen was practical and already supplied with the basics: milk, bread, butter, coffee, tea, spices and cakes. Maurizio is an outstanding host and his home is wonderful. Away from the hustle and bustle of central Rome but easy access to all the sights by bus and foot. A lovely neighbourhood where you can head to the local bar for an espresso and cornetto in the morning, and local market for some fresh produce, and truly feel like a Roman! And the apartment is massive - we travelled with our three sons (young adult and teenagers) and each had their own bed - plus room to spare. And Maurizio thinks of everything - coffee, laundry and dishwashing detergent, plush towels, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, lovely balconies all around, and a beautiful piano and artwork throughout. Of travelling with a family I highly recommend this lovely home. This is a large, beautiful apartment in quiet Monteverde Vecchio, uncrowded by tourists, yet only a short walk to the nightlife of Trastevere and the foodie spots of Testaccio. The patisserie across the street was a lively and elegant spot for a cappuccino and cornetto, and several restuarants within a 5 minute walk were top notch.The apartment itself has everything you might need. Both bedrooms have large, comfortable beds. The living space has an old world feel with its 17th century paintings, a piano, and beautiful decorations along with a extensive and fascinating library. The sunroom is marvelous on a cool morning and the terrace was perfect for a glass of wine in the evenings!Perhaps best of all was Maurizio, our accomodating and friendly host. Maurizio grew up in this apartment, and retired from his career as a physician nearby, so he knows and loves the neighborhood. He took us in his car on a tour of the area, with interesting insights into the historical spots on the Janiculum Hill as well as the best places to shop and dine. I would walk down to the pantheon which took about one hour and then taxi back in the evening. The store for groceries it’s right down the street. The farmers market was so close that I went almost daily for fruit. The café’s are within walking distance. If you are a coffee drinker you will not find any Keurig to use in the morning; just the one cup at a time stove top pot. No toaster as well, but all in all, I enjoyed staying here. ##### Claire K. Our host (Maurizio) was wonderful. He was so thoughtful and responsive to our needs. Upon arriving in Rome he picked us up at the Trastevere Train Station and drove us to our apartment. After we freshened up he took us in his car on a tour of the area showing us all the significant sites and he gave us a thorough account of the history behind what we were seeing. On another occasion we were unable to get a taxi to our tour at the Colosseum and he drove us there. Maurizio is a very kind man and really interested in his guests! His apartment is not ultra modern but a true reflection of Italian decor with interesting furniture and beautiful paintings. There was a market and a bunch of restaurants nearby. All amenities worked great. There was even a diffuser attachment for the blow dryer (curly hair girls will understand!). Maurizio set up a private driver for us to and from the airport-super helpful! Only negative was the upstairs neighbor pounding on the floor above our bedroom at 12AM. Later found out it was because we had the air conditioner running. We were told we cannot have the air running from 8pm-8am. Het huis is indrukwekkend met haar kunst en grote boekencollectie, de slaapkamers zijn zeer comfortabel met ieder een eigen badkamer. Met de bushalte direct voor de deur, hoef je na een lange dag in de stad niet ver meer te lopen. In de buurt zijn goede winkels en restaurants en het wij vonden het heerlijk om in een rustiger deel van de stad te verblijven. Het verblijf wordt helemaal af gemaakt door de ontzettend attente host Maurizio. Hij geeft zeer goede informatie en was beschikbaar voor al onze vragen, hij heeft onze reis echt een extraatje gegeven, we voelden ons zeer welkom in Rome en zijn appertement. (May 2024) The apartment is just as described and shown in the pictures, no hidden traps! The location is great for getting an impression of how Romans live away from the tourist tracks. Many shopping opportunities and eateries in the vicinity. Dolci desideri and Pizza Barilli are also great, don't leave without tasting their Cannolli and Supplí, respectively! The apartment is also ideally located for public transport. The apartment is just as shown in the pictures. Lots of character. Very well equipped. If you speak Italian and like Asterix or Topolino and Paperino, be warned that you may spend your vacation without leaving the building... The kitchen has a large gas range and electric oven and fully allows you to cater for yourself should you so wish. The bathroom we had was functional as well as having nice little tiles with a mother-of-pearl effect. Thanks to the very friendly cleaner, the apartment was spotlessly clean. As for the host, we can add very little to what has already been said in the other reviews. Maurizio is an extremely generous and flexible host. He gave as valuable tips without crowding us in any way. He is a gentleman, what more needs to be said? On no account miss his tour of the surrounding area. And if you are in the least interested in literature or the Italian language, get him to tell you about G.G. Belli and sonnets. ##### Sebastian B. A wonderful host and a beautiful apartment, what a great start to a Roman holiday. Our host Maurizio, took us on personal tour of the neighbourhood including historical sites and eating places on checkin, he also gave detailed instructions regarding workings of the apartment. Bus 75 is at the gate which takes to the Termini railway station or you can connect with other buses around Rome. The apartment is in a lovely neighbourhood, with supermarkets, restaurants, takeaway etc close by. The apartment was as per listing and well equipped. ##### Sue C. The host was extremely helpful and informative and even helped us find somewhere local for dinner the first night as we arrived late in the evening. The buses are easy to use, but we liked to walk, it's a great way to experience the city.
