Just steps from miles of quiet, secluded beach, the Pea Island Nature Reserve, and situated on a private drive, Rodanthe Fantasea is a quiet paradise with tons of extras! Sitting on a full 2-acre lot that backs on the wetlands, with Trex decking on every side of the home, Rodanthe Fantasea takes full advantage of the incredible views of the wonderful sunrises and sunsets of the OBX! Sporting an upside-down floor plan holding 7 ensuite masters and an ensuite children’s bunk room, this 4,500 sq.-ft. home has space for everyone, sleeping up to 20 guests. As you enter the private drive off Blue Sea Road, the first thing you notice is the professional grade sand volleyball court and a spacious driveway with plenty of parking for family and friends. Handicap friendly throughout, guests enter on the first floor with their own private security code. Taking the elevator to the third floor, you step out into a wide-open floor plan that holds the large, fully equipped kitchen, dining space, and extremely roomy, yet cozy living area with high vaulted ceilings throughout and half bath in the common area. Dine inside as a group or enjoy the sound of the waves and endless ocean views from the 3-sided deck, while soaking in the incredible sunrise and frequent pods of dolphins frolicking in the waves! This level also holds the largest master suite with a king size bed, walk-in shower, and large vanity. Taking the elevator or stairs to the second level brings you to the main sleeping level. Going down one more floor to the first floor, you enter the well-appointed game room where you can watch the game on the TV, while refereeing the ping pong or foosball championships, all next to a wet bar including a refrigerator with ice maker. There are 2 more king ensuite masters on this level, one that shares the bath with the game room. There is also a washer and dryer on this level. Completing the interior on this floor, is the state-of-the-art theater room with a large 85” TV, reclining theater seating with drink holders for up to 10, and hook ups for all your gaming systems. Exiting the rear of the home through the sliding doors that lead from the game room to the back pool deck, it dawns on you just what makes this home one of a kind! Hosting the largest heated pool in the Mirlo Beach area at 30’ x 14’, surrounded by an equally large pool deck, you realize you may never want to leave! This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location. Oct 1, 2021 Liked: Location Disliked: Cleanliness, communication #### Disappointment with cleanliness and communication Positives-I liked the location of the property. Also, each family member had their own bedroom and bath. Negatives-I received an earlier alert that the house was ready for us. We stopped by the office to pick up the key. We found out upon arrival that the key was not needed because several doors were unlocked. When we entered the property it smelled and we found out that it was not cleaned well at all. It took us a good amount of time to clean the house where we felt comfortable. My daughter’s bathroom had a ring around the tub. Maintenance did come to try to fix the doors but could not on all doors. Therefore, the entire time we were there the house was not completely secure. There was a new hot tub, but it needed electrical work done. We were without it for three days. There was an issue with the upstairs icemaker, the washer on the first floor didn’t work right, just to name a few items. It’s extremely disappointing to travel for approximately eight hours and come to a unit that you had been anticipating for months and find it to be so disappointing.. It’s a nice house with a great view, but the owner needs to do work before continuing to rent it out. ##### Lorraine W.
