IT'S SUNBELIEVABLE, is an oceanview beauty in the popular, sought-after Hatteras Island Estates section of Rodanthe, which is the northernmost village on Hatteras Island/Cape Hatteras National Seashore. We are a spacious, dog-friendly home with 6 bedrooms [5 king masters, and the 6th bedroom has a pair of bunk beds (4 beds)] and 6 1/2 bathrooms. Plus, there's a bonus area that contains a cozy futon which provides additional sleeping arrangements if needed.

With only 4 houses between your rental home and the beach/Rodanthe Pier, it takes only about 3 minutes to walk there. There is a boardwalk walkway to the beach that has a few steps down to the beach and if anyone in your party uses a wheelchair, there is an open path of sand next to the boardwalk walkway (through the pier parking lot). The pier offers fishing, food, shopping, arcade fun, and musical entertainment (bands perform during the nicer weather months). Within an 8-minute walk towards the Pamlico Sound, there is a huge arcade with laser tag and a mini golf course along with shops, restaurants, watercraft rentals, etc. within the same area. Your rental home is equipped with an elevator for easy access to all levels.

On the top floor, there is 1 king master, a very large kitchen with 2 dishwashers, dining area, great room, and even an elevated private space with a table and chairs. The middle level contains a laundry area with a full-sized washer and dryer, 3 king masters, and a bonus area that contains a futon. The lower level finishes off the home with 1 king master, a bunk room that contains 4 beds, a full size bathroom in the hallway, a game/entertainment area that includes a billiards table, shuffleboard table, a comfortable sofa, 2 Smart TV's w/cable, a dining area with a table and chairs, a long bar with additional seating, and a wet bar with a microwave and a full-size refrigerator/freezer. This level provides the main indoor/outdoor access to the fenced in pool/hot tub area (other than access from the yard and the king master on this level). All 6 bedrooms, bonus room, great room and game room have flat screen Smart TV's w/cable.

What sets this rental home aside from others? There are 5 bedrooms with KING BEDS and each have their OWN FULL BATHROOM. ALL 6 BEDROOMS HAVE DECK ACCESS, even the bonus room, which is a hard find and a true gem in the area unless you rent larger houses. Your rental home is so close to the pier, you can just chill out on one of the front decks and watch/listen to the bands play without even leaving the property (live bands generally play M-F 7-9pm from Memorial Day weekend up to Labor Day weekend, and weather permitting). The bedrooms and stairs are CARPETED w/a plush carpet that is deep cleaned several times a year (no dirty soles or socks after walking in this house!). You feel like you are walking on a cloud and not just a cold, hard floor. Because of the constant ocean breeze, mosquitos never seem to be an issue, unlike the sound side of the island.

Important information including house rules can be downloaded from the "Vacation Rental Agreement - Standard Terms, Conditions and Rental Policies" to which you will be required to sign and return upon making a booking. You will not be able to secure your reservation until we have received your signed rental agreement, your down payment for the reservation, and a copy of a government or state issued ID (i.e. Driver's License).

Bed linens and bath towel sets are provided for your use during your stay for no additional charge.

Dogs are welcome but are $200 + tax for each.

Due to past incidents of damage/theft, we require VRBO to hold a security/damage deposit until after you check-out, and when the premises have been inspected. Please refer to the rental agreement for more information.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT DAYS ARE SATURDAYS ONLY. WEEKLY RENTALS ONLY. POOL AND HOT TUB ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE 1ST SATURDAY IN APRIL TO THE LAST SATURDAY IN OCTOBER. THE POOL IS NOT HEATED BUT THERE IS FULL SUN ON IT (on sun-filled days).

Other property management companies charge you several hundred dollars for an early check-in and oftentimes, you only have access to one floor. With us, your Host pays an additional fee to have "It's Sunbelievable" clean and ready for your enjoyment by 2:00 pm. Your Host will contact you, without delay, as soon as notification is received that the cleaners have finished. You will then be provided with a key code.

Please note, we are new to VRBO and that is why we do not have many reviews. 2026 is our first year.
