The bed mattresses were worn out. When sleeping on the side, it felt like you were going to roll out onto the floor, and if you spread out across the full width, it felt like you were sleeping on an incline.

Parking is free which is a wonderful amenity and we always are so grateful for the easy access to the pedestrian subway at Mayo Clinic.

This hotel is a very charming home away from home, They were very kind & went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Free parking is available if needed. The rooms are very clean and cozy & the beds are quite comfortable. Breakfast is self serve with microwave & toaster oven offerings that are quite good. including nice grain bread, bagels, sausage, french toast and omelettes. Cereal, fruit cup & fresh fruit as well. Certainly more than we needed. Convenient to the subway level access to appointments in the Mayo system, the shuttle or a quick taxi. Definitely a great go to for us in the future.

Ok breakfast, hotel was very clean. Beds were not very comfortable. There are recliners in the hall if needed that are comfortable. A block and a half from the Mayo clinic which was great! Parking was not bad at all and was very convenient even with the road construction. Checking in and out was the fastest I've ever had with a hotel, so that was nice. There are restaurants in walking distance and there is a good Chinese place very close by. Also, there is a shuttle if people are unable or don't want to walk. The shuttle is shared with multiple hotels, otherwise the hotel is hooked up to the mayo's subway (tunnel) system and there are wheelchairs available to take over to the mayo and back. In the winter you never have to go outside to get to appointments.

Poor value for money. The only $100+ US hotel I have ever stayed in that did not have a regular ironing board. I would not advise anyone to stay here that was not in Rochester to do hard labor.

The bathroom was clean but the hotel is very outdated. I am sensitive to the smell of smoke and immediately smelled smoke in the lobby. The receptionist said someone was smoking outside. Ok…well we got in late and when we got to our room I could smell very faint smoke plus a musty smell. I thought I would get used to it and so I didn’t ask to switch rooms but the smell bugged me all night. Along with the loud AC which didn’t work very well. The room was very humid too…probably why the musty smell. Breakfast was beyond sad as well with a few bagels, mini muffins, very small yogurt. No granola, no cereal, and I don’t even think they had milk. Premade cheese and/or meat omelets but you had to heat everything yourself in a microwave. Maybe I’m just being cranky because I did not sleep well….

I find the Brentwood a very good place to stay when I am visiting the Mayo Clinic. My room is always ready when I arrive in town and the staff helpful. The room is clean and adequate for I want for my one-night stay. I particularly like the free or included parking fee and best of all the connection to the subway directly from the hotel. The price point is attractive for the accommodations.
