"Absolutely lovely hotel in a stunningly restored Renaissance palazzo. We booked for one night and ended up staying three nights. Spotless clean, excellent service, and tasteful rooms in a scenic little town with few tourists. Ideal for day trips to Asti, Alba, Fossano, Cuneo, and other culturally relevant sites in the Piemonte. We fell in love with Mondovi, its excellent restaurants, and the calm genius loci. Barbara and Massimo, the owners, gave us a tour of the palazzo and the neighborhood....

The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and full of small thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Breakfast was with fresh fruits, delicious coffee or tea. Top Rocca Ciglie Hotel Reviews

Felicin - Palazzo Boeri Panoramic Suites

Felicin - Palazzo Boeri Panoramic Suites

8/10 Good
"The property is in a beautiful natural balcony overlooking the mountains and the valleys.absolutely stunning.! Having a glass of wine at sunset was a real experience. The room was very large. With 2 bathrooms. The staff was awesome. Unfortunately the room was also dirty. Lots of stink bugs flying around, spider webs and showers that were built a while ago with water damage showing. We loved the property. But the rooms need a deep cleaning."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Rocca Ciglie?
The best area to stay in Rocca Ciglie is within the town itself, particularly around the historic centre.

Rocca Ciglie is a small, elevated town with a charming, historic core. The main features are the medieval castle ruins and the Church of San Giovanni Battista. The streets are narrow and winding, offering a quiet, traditional Italian village experience. You'll find a few local shops and trattorias scattered throughout.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find Rocca Ciglie ideal. It's a place to unwind, enjoy the views of the surrounding Piedmontese countryside, and experience authentic village life. The lack of major tourist attractions means a slower pace, superb for romantic strolls and enjoying local cuisine.

For travellers who appreciate good food and wine, staying in Rocca Ciglie offers easy access to the region's renowned vineyards and truffle hunting experiences.
When is the best time to go to Rocca Ciglie?
The best time to visit Rocca Ciglie is during late spring, from May to June, or in early autumn, from September to October. These periods offer pleasant weather for exploring the region.

Late spring is ideal for those who enjoy mild temperatures and the sight of blooming landscapes. The vineyards are lush, and the days are long, great for leisurely drives through the countryside and outdoor activities. It's a lovely time for couples to enjoy the pastoral setting and for food enthusiasts to experience the early harvests.

Early autumn, particularly September, is great for experiencing the grape harvest, known as "vendemmia." The weather remains agreeable, and the region comes alive with wine-related festivals and activities.
