Perfect location if you go to Copacabana. Friendly and helpful staff. A lot of security at the property so you fell safe . Good breakfast buffet with a great view of Rio . The only issue , besides the common areas , the rooms are definitely outdated and they need maintenance ASAP.

The location was fantastic and incredibly convenient. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. While the food wasn’t exceptional, it was sufficient to keep us going. The hot tub was a bit chilly, and one of the elevators was out of service for the entire duration of our stay. However, the restaurant, THE WAVE, which is part of the hotel, was truly exceptional. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, supper good service at the restaurant upstairs. The room was big with beautiful view of the ocean, very comfortable bed and pillows! The location is amazing - right in the center and on the beach, was easy to get chairs and towels for the beach. Breakfast had huge variety of foods with great views of the beach. Just couple of things could be better- the towels were so old and discolored, it was sad to look at, the lamps on the nightstands - the same thing, just too beat up, and probably need to spray for bugs …

Great location if you don’t mind outside noise till 5 am. It’s located near a very active beach access. Rooms are outdated, mounted vanity mirror fell in the middle of the night. It was replaced by the morning, AC started leaking and maintenance came in with in 10 min. Room did have a musky odor.

We loved it. The view from the 30th floor is breathtaking. The personnel at the terrace was nice and accomodating. Roommwas clean and had full view to the beach. Location is prime. We were there the second time and, if we return to Rio, we will go again there

Housekeeping was almost nonexistent. Had to call them at check-in because room was filthy and daily’s they would need to be called for towels. Breakfast and concierge service was awesome and pool area was also great. No amenities and no upgrade offered and 2 free drinks during stay omitted.

I love this place . 2nd time staying and both times have been wonderful . The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable I almost have a hard time getting out of it hehe. The views are amazing from the rooftop bar and restaurant. Overall amazing and helpful staff and an amazing property . Rio Othon will always be my go-to hotel when I’m in Rio
