Staff were amazing! Helpful and friendly. Can arrange airport transfer for you. They all spoke English very well. There is a common area downstairs with a bar and free filtered water and lots of plugs to charge your electronics. The bunk beds were a little scary, very unstable. You only get two sheets and a pillow case so if you get a free blanket on your airline keep it! There is one plug in each bed spot. Rooms are air conditioned. It was a little expensive for a shared room with bunk beds but it is an excellent location.

No geral o hostel é super agradável, fica uma rua super aconchegante. A estrutura também é ótima, existem muitos estrangeiros no hotel é ótimo para praticar outros idiomas. O que tenho para falar mal é das camas superiores da beliche que não tinha cortina e nem luz.

Barraca é melhor

Péssima localização (localizado em uma rampa), quartos divididos com outras pessoas e sem informação na hora da reserva, não recomendo nem para meu pior inimigo.

Hotel bonito porém com péssimos funcionários.

O hostel me pediu um depósito pela chave do quarto que seria devolvido assim que eu fosse embora do hotel, na saída o segurança não pode me devolver o dinheiro pois a recepção não deixou o dinheiro e nem a lista das pessoas que iriam sair cedo naquele dia, o segurança também alegou que o recepcionista estava bebendo com os hóspedes e foi embora bêbado por isso esqueceu de suas responsabilidades, tentei entrar em contato com o hostel para pedir o dinheiro que paguei pela chave e eles não me deram retorno de resposta.

Limpio, lindo pero no te hacen sentir bienvenido

Si el personal fuera más atento, dar indicaciones de como funcionan las cosas dentro del hostel, sonreír, hacerte sentir bienvenido... sería más amena la estancia. El hostel es lindo, es seguro, pero parece que los empleados no están felices, y eso transmiten a los huéspedes.. la chica de la noche es más amable, me sentí mejor hablando con ella, las de la mañana como si no quieren estar ahí...

La atención del personal suele ser bastante mala, con contadas excepciones. Recomiendo no tomar las excursiones del lugar, que si bien no las manejan ellos, son caras y de medio pelo. La ubicación es buena, cerca de Copacabana.Tienen algunas reglas sin sentido como una pulsera que hay que presentar y ridiculeces como que cancelan la tarjeta de entrada a la habitación antes de que termine la estadía. Desayuno aceptable, teniendo en cuenta el precio. The staff was terrible most of the time, with some exceptions. I recommend not to hire the tours they offer (they don't organize it, but the company they call is mediocre and expensive). The location is good, near Copacabana. Appart from some ridiculous rules that they have, it's an "ok" hostel.

el lugar es muy bueno, solo para mi opinion, un pequeño detalle en el desayuno, deberia ser mas completo y no tener tanto americano y agregar mas para latinosej mas cereales budines queso en feta etc y no tanto revueltos de huevos salchichas

Não oferecem toalha de banho. Vc precisa alugá-la por 5 reais. As mulheres da limpeza somem com as coisas que você deixa dentro do quarto quando elas estão limpando e depois ninguém sabe onde foram parar. Isso aconteceu com meu óculos e com as coisas de outras meninas que ficaram no quarto também. Elas não sabem exatamente quantas pessoas te no quarto e tiram as coisas que acham que o hóspede esqueceu porque dizem que foram orientadas a fazer assim. Isso ouvi delas mesmo. É um hostel bem seguro! O local é bem seguro também. O único que é chato é isso de ter que ficar guardando tudo dentro do armário com medo de sumir.

Hostel mit vielen Aktivitäten

Hostel auch mit privatzimmern. Viele Aktivitäten Werden angeboten. Da die bar und gemeinschaftsräume nicht durchgehend (aber vollkommen ausreichend!!) geöffnet sind ist es auch relativ ruhig. Sehr sicher und nähe zur copacabana.

Ryanair of hostels!

Great building with lovely outdoor areas and newly built accommodations and shared bathrooms....could be fantastic if it weren't for the terrible staff and money grabbing managers. Upon arrival was told need to pay extra municipal tax (8% mentioned in email but was charged 20% and staff couldn't explain why!) also wanted R$20 to store our belongings securely while we waited on our room to be prepared. Another R$10 deposit for the key, R$5 for a fresh towel and your not allowed bring in drinks, you must purchase in the hostel at vastly inflated prices. Breakfast was OK although not often topped up, pot luck what you get to eat depending what time you arrive. Hostel is in great location and guests were great fun, such a shame it's ruined by disinterested staff and management. You can get more for your more for your money elsewhere when add in all the extras.

Fantastic stay. My only grumble is that check in was chaos. I wasn't informed correctly of anything and then was rushed to the wrong room, then the right room and was told to 'run' as the girl had to get back to another customer who was deemed more important. Not good. Make sure you have cash on you for your key deposit and this isn't stated anywhere and that became a whole issue. Another reception woman was grumpy the whole time and made me feel uncomfortable and as if i was interrupting her. Other than that, it is a great location, very accessible and close to everything.

Nothing fancy but chill

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hostel itself is a little dated but tidy for the most part. The rooms and common areas were cleaned daily. I think some rooms are new and renovated but the room I was in wasn't. The beds were most uncomfortable. I had a hard time sleeping. It's in a good area close to the beach and metro but the downside is the steep hill you have to climb to get to the hostal which is difficult when you have heavy load and the wifi was hit or miss buut it was fine for the few nights I was there. The atmosphere is great for meeting ppl.

Group of 4 friends stay @ Cabanacopa

Stayed in a 4 dorm room and we were very pleased with the bed comfort and cleanliness of the hostel. Daily housekeeping kept the rooms and toilets clean. Friendly, helpful staff made the stay much more pleasant. Would highly recommend if travelling on a budget and wanting a clean comfortable hostel.
