#### Sunbathe and snorkel during the day and party at night at this popular and beautiful cliff-bordered beach, which attracts a youthful crowd.

With gleaming blue-green water and an attractive backdrop of cliffs and grottoes, Riaci Beach is one of the loveliest waterfront stretches in the region. Come here to swim, snorkel or boat around the clear and warm waters.

Rent a chair and umbrella or bring your own to enjoy a full day in the sun. While some parts of the beach are designated for particular hotels or lidos, other parts are open to all. If you plan on going swimming, you may want to wear water shoes as protection from the pebbles underfoot. Watch brave visitors jump into the water from the rocks off the shoreline.

The beach is a particularly popular area for snorkeling. Bring along a snorkel and mask and venture out into the translucent water. Search for sea life in the waters near the rocks that rise up out of the water and around the cliffs. Marvel at the schools of colorful darting fish that are visible beneath the surface. If you don’t want to get wet, rent a pedal boat and steer your way along the shore with a friend or family member.

The beach has several bars and nearby restaurants where beachgoers can dine or watch the sunset with a drink in hand. Alternatively, bring along a picnic to enjoy on the sand.

Stay around until nightfall and participate in the revelry as the beach bars fill with partiers. Mingle with Italian vacationers and attend an open-air disco and dance to DJ-spun beats until late in the evening.

Find Riaci Beach about 2 miles (3 kilometers) south of Tropea. Driving from Tropea will take about 10 minutes. Paid parking is available at the beach. In peak season, arrive early to ensure you will get a spot. From the parking lot, follow a series of steep steps to access the beach.
