Access to the National Park without boating in/out. Arrival and check-in can be confusing with many individuals at various steps but just be ready to tell them where you’re staying and who you’re looking for. Quaint home is well equipped and all the comforts as described. »

« Comfortable room with private bath, and we enjoyed sitting in the porch area and visiting with Katty & family. Close enough to everything to walk but far enough back to be peaceful. We went on the night hike and canoe tours with P&K Tours, and it was convenient to start at thr same place instead of meetinf up in the village or at the dock. This was the highlight of our trip through Central America. »

« Les chambres sont très belles et les propriétaires très gentil mais elles ne sont par contre pas sur l’île de Tortuguero même mais à côté, à San Francisco. Cette information n’était pas clair pour le check-in qui fut chaotique et nous avons dû plusieurs fois prendre des taxis entre le parc et cette île pour une vingtaine de dollars en 2 jours sur place. Nous avons apprécié d’être plus isolé que sur l’île principale - Mais le savoir en avance nous aurait aidé. »

"Emplacement fantastique au milieu du village. Je recommande fortement les chambres au 2e avec vue sur le canal. Excellent déjeuner avec horaire flexible, pris sur la terrasse face au canal. Seul défaut, on doit payer les chambres cash."

"Le Pachira Lodge offre une vraie immersion en forêt tropicale. Les chambres n'ont pas de fenêtres, seulement des moustiquaires : on entend les sons de la nature la nuit, ce qui peut surprendre, mais crée une ambiance unique. Pas de climatisation, mais les ventilateurs sont efficaces. Pas de wifi dans les chambres — il faut accepter de décrocher. Le personnel est très sympathique. L’accès se fait en bateau, ce qui rend le séjour spécial, mais représente un coût à prévoir. Même si les restos sont au village, j’ai préféré rester au lodge : c’est plus calme et bien plus immersif. La nourriture en buffet est bonne, mais peu variée. Malgré tout, un excellent endroit pour qui cherche la tranquillité en pleine nature."

"Hôtel simple et efficace avec accès à la mer (dans laquelle on ne se baigne pas au mois d’Août), proche du village. L’accès plage est restreint entre 6h du matin et 6h du soir pendant la période de ponte des tortues. Les activités proposées par “l’hôtel” sont de qualité."
